Pinal County Public Health Services District (PCPHSD) confirms first community case of measles in a Pinal County resident.

This individual’s exposure to measles did not occur in Pinal County. However, this individual visited an emergency healthcare facility in Pinal County during the period when they may have been infectious. Therefore, PCPHSD is working with state and local partners to notify individuals who have potentially been exposed. These individuals will be contacted directly.

Vaccination is the most effective way to avoid measles infection and serious outcomes.
