Hip hop hooray 🎉 it’s Ugly Sweater Day!! 🎄🧶
Here at Active Day, we had an absolute blast—everyone showed up and showed out! 😍👏 Our participants were AMAZING, and all the unique, cute, funny, festive and perfectly ugly sweaters and shirts were such a joy to see. 🤣🧥💚

🎄✨ Holiday Fun at Its Best! ✨🎄

We had an absolute blast as our members and staff came together to participate in our Christmas hat and head accessories fun! From jingly bells to sparkling lights, every hat was unique, creative, and truly impressive. The laughter, smiles, and holiday spirit filled the room and made this activity one to remember. We love seeing everyone express their creativity and enjoy the joy of the season together! ❤️🎁

Our Story

We provide outpatient, therapeutic, adult day health services to individuals 18 years of age and older with cognitive and/or physical impairments. Our staff have been specially-trained to give care to those with Alzheimer's Disease and/or other related Dementias. They received their training through the Dementia Dialogues program, Office for the Study of Aging-Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina. The staff also remains updated on their CPR and First Aid certifications. We care for members with a wide-variety of diagnoses, such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, etc. Our nursing staff administer medications, injections, respiratory treatments, give wound care and tube feedings, monitor vital signs/ blood sugars, and any skilled nursing service the primary physician orders. We have nutritious meals and snacks prepared according to the member's physician's dietary orders. The menus are designed by a registered dietician. The staff assist with all meal set up and feeding, as needed. We have contracted transportation to deliver the members to and from their homes daily. The drivers provide door-to-door transportation. They will assist the members with their transfers and ambulation. We also have a wide-variety of wonderful activities daily. These activities include low-impact exercise, current events discussion, arts/crafts, games, Karaoke, Wii Sports Video Games, Inter-generational events, theme weeks, and much more. We have many exceptionally-talented volunteers that perform weekly, whether it be singing or playing instruments. Contact us for further information about our services and enrollment criteria.
