🌟Team Member Highlight this Thursday🌟

💫 We want to share some information about our 1st employee, Diana Brown!!! She has openings for 1-2 more clients and is in the office Wednesday & Thursday evenings from 4:30-6:45pm and every other Saturday from 9:30am-2pm.

💫 Diana is genuine & authentic in her approach with her clients. Additionally, she is very down to earth and has a wonderful sense of humor. It has been a true pleasure watching her grow in her professional development as an LPCA!

💫 Diana initially joined the practice in January 2021 as a practicum student and was our very first student! She completed her practicum & internship at our practice. She completed her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May 2022 from Xavier University. She then returned in October 2022 as our 1st employee!

💫 Diana works with ages 13+ (teens, adults and elderly) with concerns related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss & phase of life issues. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

💫 As a former teacher, Diana enjoys teaching clients skill building to help improve coping and resiliency. She helps folks in the areas of recognizing thinking mistakes, reframing thoughts, and teaching healthy coping skills. Additionally, she helps folks in learning mindfulness, improving interpersonal skills, teaching distress tolerance & emotional regulation skills as well.

💫We want to share some information about another one of our awesome team members, Robert Elrod! He has openings for 1 or 2 new clients and is in the office Monday-Friday from 4-7pm.

💫Robert is genuine, laid back, articulate, very caring & nurturing. He uses a humanistic approach with his clients and is highly motivated to help you reach your goals to foster your true self.

💫He initially joined the practice in 2023 as a counseling student intern & we were so excited he returned post graduation in April of 2025. He obtained his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling & School Counseling in December of 2024 while working as a public school teacher.

💫Robert specializes in working with children (ages 5+), adolescents, adults & couples who are struggling with anxiety, behavioral & conduct issues, parenting, depression, trauma, grief/loss & relationship difficulties among others. He will listen, encourage and support you; he will be by your side helping you with your goals.

⭐️Tuesday Tip of the Day⭐️

💫 Every Tuesday in January we are going to share a simple tip (or 2) to enhance your mental health and well-being. Why not give it a try?

💫 Trauma responses aren’t signs of weakness—they’re signs your nervous system learned how to protect you.

💫Try these simple tips below ⬇️⬇️⬇️:

1) Place one hand on your chest and one on your belly.
Take a slow breath in through your nose for 4 seconds, then exhale through your mouth for 6 seconds.
Longer exhales signal safety to your nervous system.

2) Press your feet firmly into the floor and notice the support beneath you.
Remind yourself: “I’m safe in this moment.”
Grounding through your body can help calm your nervous system.
