It was our pleasure to honor our local firefighters on First Responders Day! Florence Fire/EMS Department - Florence, KY

Our residents had an amazing time during our rhythm and dance activities! 💃We started with both a seated and chair dance lesson full of smiles and laughter! Then came our drumming session where we used giant balloons on buckets to create our own unique rhythms. 🥁

These activities aren’t just fun, they’re powerful! Movement and rhythm do more than just get toes tapping, they help stimulate memory, coordination, and focus, while lifting spirits and encouraging emotional expression. But most importantly, they bring pure joy to everyone involved.

Yesterday we took a few of our residents on a very special trip to the beautiful 33 acre property once owned by one of our beloved former residents who has since passed. His children, James and Lisa, graciously welcomed us and took everyone on a peaceful ride around the land and talked about their parents and how much they loved spending time there. The sun was shining, the leaves were glowing, and the day was filled with sweet memories and laughter. 

As we were leaving, James said with a smile, “I know my dad is smiling down on us today.” ❤️

What a perfect way to spend a fall afternoon honoring a life well lived and the lasting connections that continue to bring us together.
