The Kentucky Humane Society's CARE-a-van is bringing FREE cat spay/neuter surgeries to Grant County residents on Tuesday, April 21st at the Oaks Groove Building in Grant County Park.

Appointments are required and can be made at https://www.kyhumane.org/services/khs-care-a-van/ . Look for the Oaks Grove Building Location. Spaces are limited and if that location does not show up in your search, then all slots are full.

There is a $25 deposit per cat that will be refunded when you attend your appointment. You can sign up for multiple cats, but you must make an appointment and pay the deposit for each cat.

We have made the difficult decision to step back from Emergency Veterinary sponsorships. The need is simply too great, and the funds available are not sufficient to support this initiative.

To ensure the best possible outcome for the greatest number of pets, we are refocusing on a core part of our mission: keeping pets healthy.

For the foreseeable future, our support will focus on routine vaccinations and spay/neuter assistance. We will direct our resources toward helping pets stay up to date on essential vaccines and toward preventing unwanted litters when spay/neuter programs are available in our region.

By emphasizing preventive care, we can help more pets remain healthy and support more families within our community.
