This year moved quickly, as it often does in birth work. From July through the end of the year, our space was filled with first cries, steady hands, deep breaths, and so many celebratory tears and cheers.

Today we’re pausing to celebrate all of the babies born with us during the second half of 2025.

We’re so excited to share that a familiar face is stepping into a new role here at Seven Sisters! Samantha (Sam) Carrier has been with us as a nurse for the past two years, and she’s now officially a Midwife!

Sam recently graduated from the Baystate Midwifery Education Program with her Master’s in Midwifery from Thomas Jefferson University. Over the next few months, she’ll be seeing clients while being mentored by our midwifery team, and she can’t wait to meet even more of the Seven Sisters families.

She loves supporting people through all stages of life and reproductive journeys, with a special passion for pelvic pain and endometriosis care.

Join us in giving Sam a warm welcome in her new role — we’re so lucky to have her on our team!

🎉✨ Happy 5 Years, Seven Sisters Birth Center! ✨🎉

This month we’re celebrating five beautiful years of welcoming families through our doors — and 808 babies!

We are filled with gratitude for our founders, Ginny Miller and Kirsten Kowalski, whose vision and dedication made history by opening the first freestanding, midwife-run birth center in Massachusetts. Because of their courage and commitment, hundreds of families have had the opportunity to experience birth in a space centered on safety, respect, and love.

To every family who has entrusted us with their birth journey, and to our incredible team of midwives, staff, and supporters — thank you for being part of this community. Here’s to the next chapter and many more babies to come!

Love where you get your care.

We all have a story. Our story begins with you. You are the center of everything we do - and together we are a fearless team. Are you ready to be a part of re-defining prenatal, birth and gynecological care - to be a true collaborator in your care?

We are passionate about what we do and compassionate in how we do it. We want to know the story of you, however you define yourself and however you want to experience your care. Our tools are information, skill and a wealth of experience. And, something more - our intuition and yours.

We know the truth. You deserve to be nurtured, believed and supported – for your needs are unique and your care should be exceptional. Because our reproductive health is core to who we are.

So why not love where you get your care. Trust in the care of independent Nurse-Midwives ready to collaborate with you in a new free-standing birth center and health clinic in western Massachusetts opening in the summer of 2020.
