Thank you to everyone who voted in Tuesday's Regular Election of the Florence Fire Protection District.

Based on the preliminary results published by the District, Terry Williams, Dana Angel, and Josh Talbot are projected to secure 4-year terms while John Wysong is expected to win a 2-year term.

Since UOCAVA ballots can be accepted until May 14, the results are considered "preliminary" or "abstract" until they are certified on or before May 20. Copies of the results have been posted on the front door of the Penrose and Florence fire stations where they will remain for the next 48 hours.

Wind driven snow will spread into the mountains Thursday afternoon through Friday morning. The heaviest snow will impact the eastern San Juan mountains including Wolf Creek Pass, but travel impacts from wind driven snow could impact Monarch and La Veta Passes as well. Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories have been posted. Please check road conditions at cotrip.org if you have travel plans into the mountains.
