Many women in the church don’t realize this:
Feeling overwhelmed isn’t a sign you’re doing something wrong.
It’s often a sign your nervous system has been carrying too much for too long.
Gentle stretching and slow, intentional breathing activate the body’s “rest and restore” response — lowering stress hormones like cortisol and helping your brain shift out of survival mode so you can think clearly, respond patiently, and stay present with the people you love.
In other words:
when your body settles,
your capacity to serve others grows.
Sometimes faith doesn’t look like pushing harder.
Sometimes it looks like letting your body rest in God’s presence.
That’s what we practice together on Tuesday nights — a gentle space to release what you’ve been carrying and receive calm again.
Join us Tuesdays at 6pm.
You don’t have to keep holding everything together on your own. 🤍
