Since 1954, SC Presbyterian congregations have received an offering each Mother’s Day to support charitable care for residents of Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina who, after an extended time in residence and through no fault of their own, need financial assistance to continue meeting their financial obligations. Each year, your gifts provide approximately $1 million in charitable care support for our residents needing assistance. More than 30 PCSC team members had the opportunity to participate in the 12-hour Montessori for Aging & Dementia class with trainer Mandy Cheskis from . Participants learned the foundational components of Montessori philosophy and engaged in practical activities to familiarize themselves with using Montessori materials and engaging residents with memory impairments.

Special recognition to the five individuals who shared "best practices" around the topics of Advancing the Resident Experience, Utilizing Personal Skills & Talents for Program Development and Optimizing Efficiency on the Team. So many exciting opportunities await the PCSC residents in 2026!
