A Message for our families:
We’ve recently seen an increase in patients who were first treated at Urgent Care and, unfortunately, received care that wasn’t always appropriate for children. This has included incorrect diagnoses, misuse of antibiotics, and improper dosing.
Pediatric care is specialized, and children often need a different approach than adults. Whenever possible, we ask that you contact Primary Pediatrics before visiting an Urgent Care so we can help guide you to the best next step for your child.
If your child does need to be seen at an Urgent Care, we strongly recommend following up with us in our office within 1–2 days to ensure they are healing well and receiving the correct treatment.
As always, our goal is to provide the safest, most effective care for your child. Please don’t hesitate to call us—we’re here to help.
