These community leaders give their time to learn about the issues facing health care and how McLeod Health Seacoast addresses them to ensure excellent health care for our region.

This month, the Fellows class heard from Dr. Colin Canham with McLeod Orthopaedics Seacoast on total joint replacements and observed a robotic demonstration. They also heard about the Sports Medicine program from Dr. William Gasque with McLeod Orthopaedics Seacoast.

Meet RJ Self, the 2026 Children's Miracle Network Hospitals National Champion Ambassador for McLeod Children's Hospital!

RJ was born with Tetra-amelia syndrome, a very rare condition characterized by the absence of all four limbs, and he has overcome every obstacle put in his way.

A National Champion serves as a powerful ambassador for the 170 children’s hospitals that make up Children's Miracle Network. They represent the millions of children on their health journeys across the U.S. and Canada, serving as a testament to the life-changing care provided by our network and the community support that makes it all possible.

Today, January 13, marks the start of a new, ambitious era for McLeod Children's Hospital's partnership with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN).

CMN is launching a new brand and a bold commitment: the Health For All Kids Impact Pledge, a two-year effort to raise $1 billion to help children’s hospitals deliver life-changing treatments, innovate for the future, and ensure health and hope for all kids.

This pledge is not something CMN achieves alone. It relies on the collective strength of our network. We are excited to join the movement to ensure Health for All Kids.
