Angela and Tony King received the Philanthropist of the Year award, Dr. Kerolos Rizk received the Physician Champion of the Year award and Jamesha Gore-Coggin accepted the Volunteer of the Year award on behalf of the Together We Give Foundation. Thank you to Linda Weatherford, President and CEO of SPC Credit Union. Linda authored the children’s book, "The Best Dogs Wear Pink," and recently donated all of the proceeds from the sales of the book to support the HOPE (Helping Oncology Patients Everyday) Fund.

The Best Dogs Wear Pink is a heartwarming and inspiring story about Nash, Linda’s Pup, and his friends who wear pink. Several of his friends are penned in honor and memory of the special people in Linda’s life who have battled cancer.

Marriott’s OceanWatch Resort hosted its Torch Relay on Monday, October 27 in support of McLeod Children’s Hospital. The event began with an inspiring story from the McVicker Family, who shared their experience with their son's and grandson's early days in the NICU at McLeod Children’s Hospital. Following their heartfelt message, participants took part in a three-mile beach walk and returned to a celebration featuring food, music, a silent auction, and plenty of fun.

We are sincerely grateful to Marriott Vacation Club for their continued partnership and dedication to helping children in our community.
