Donna Lou Green, born on January 24, 1936, in Williamstown, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, at Boonespring Care Center in Union, Kentucky. She was 90 years old, surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.

A devoted caregiver, Donna dedicated many years of her life to nurturing others. She worked passionately at both the Grant County Jail and the Children’s Home, making a significant impact in the lives of many who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her commitment to caring extended far beyond her professional life; she was a beloved mother of four and affectionately known as "Granny" to an impressive lineage of 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Her warm heart and nurturing spirit have left an indelible mark on countless young people over her nine decades, earning her the affection of thousands throughout the years.

Donna was a cornerstone for six generations of family and friends, always embodying warmth and acceptance. She had an innate ability to bring people together, creating an atmosphere that was both inviting and comforting. Her love knew no bounds, and she shared it freely with everyone she met, becoming a positive influence on all around her.

Beyond her inspiring role as a caregiver and matriarch, Donna enjoyed simple pleasures in life, such as home decorating and working on crossword puzzles, and indulging in games of solitaire and word searches. These moments brought her joy and added to the tapestry of her rich and fulfilling life.

Donna was preceded in death by her grandson, Travis Alig, her brothers, Gerald and Gary Whaley, and her sister, Joyce French. She is also preceded in death by her parents Emmett and Lorretta (Vice) Whaley. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her children, Joy (Randy) Appelman, Rob (Kim) Green II, Lori (Jeff) Alig, and Bill (Kelly) Green, along with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who remain to honor her legacy.

A visitation will be held on February 26, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, all taking place at Alliance Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Florence, Kentucky.

In reflecting upon her life, we remember Donna not only for her nurturing spirit but also for the love and kindness she extended to those around her. Her legacy is one of compassion, warmth, and familial unity, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Our dear Iveth Salgado Calderon born April 14, 2001 in Cuernavaca, Mexico finished her race in this world February 1st 2026 in Gallatin County Kentucky. The second of four children from Vicente Salgado and Andrea Calderon, whom they lovingly called her "Maggie, Star, little sister, sissy. She graduated in Gallatin County High School in 2019, where she is remembered dearly as one who was always willing to help teachers and new students alike. After graduation, she worked in different places until she found her 'great team' in the HR department of Kroger Co. where her talents were appreciated and she quickly climbed the ladder up to Corporate Promotional Planner ASP. Dakota Martínez entered her life whom she loved till the day she parted. She is survived by her parents Vicente Salgado Salgado and Andrea Calderón Grande, her siblings José David, Issac Emanuel, and Elizabeth Andrea. She will be remembered by her beautiful smile and sweetness that was contagious wherever she went, as a loving daughter and sister, as a visionary woman with a great heart who liked to work with children, traveling, play the flute, take pictures and help whom she could, all with loving the Lord Jesus Christ.

Born on July 21, 2003, in the same vibrant city, Aislynne's journey was one marked by an unwavering spirit and an ability to touch the hearts of all who knew her.

Despite the challenges that came with her disabilities, Aislynne graduated from Trafalgar High School in Cape Coral, Florida, where she was celebrated by her peers and teachers alike. Her presence at school was a constant source of happiness, and she was lovingly voted the sweetest girl in her class, a title that perfectly captured her gentle nature.

Aislynne's days were filled with the things she loved most. She held a deep affection for the world of movies, with a particular fondness for animations and Disney cartoons. Roberta Jane (Duncan) Freimuth of Independence, Kentucky, passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 72. She was born on August 26, 1953, to Frances Slayden Duncan and Clarence “Buster” Duncan. Jane was a graduate of Simon Kenton High School and was employed by the Bureau of Alcohol, To***co, and Fi****ms for more than 37 years.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Frances Duncan, and her sister, Judy (Duncan) Tungate.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Hunter (John) Daugherty of Villa Hills, Kentucky, and her grandchildren, Stella and Duncan. She is also survived by her son, Michael Freimuth of Independence, Kentucky, and his children, Shiloh and Chase. Jane is further survived by her siblings, Jeffrey (Barb) Duncan of Independence, Kentucky; JoAnn (Ron) Brown of Walton, Kentucky; and John Duncan of Covington, Kentucky.

Margaret M. Aker, age 70, passed away on December 26, 2025, in Edgewood, Kentucky. She was a longtime resident of Erlanger, Kentucky. Margaret was born on July 25, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Harold and Cora (Saylor) Aker.

Margaret was a devoted mother to her son, Brad Aker Sr., and a loving grandmother to Kelsee (Aker) Carter and her spouse, Marley Carter, and Brad Aker Jr. She was preceded in death by her siblings Don Saylor, Patricia Simmons, and Charliene “Sharkie” Feldmeyer as well as her daughter-in-law, Teresa (Sharpe) Aker. She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephew, Trina (Price) Bradley and spouse Chris Bradley, Christian Feldmeyer, and Hannah (Feldmeyer) Pahomi and spouse Ian Pahomi, along with many great-nieces and great-nephew who brought her great joy.

A faithful Christian, Margaret loved the Lord deeply and lived her life as a reflection of His love. She was devoted to her family and had a genuine love for everyone she met. Known for her kindness and generosity, Margaret freely shared whatever she had and consistently put others before herself. She truly embodied the love of Jesus in both word and action.

Services will be held at Generations Church, located at 4161 Richardson Road, Independence, Kentucky 41051, on January 16, 2026. A visitation will be held at 5:00pm followed by the service at 6:00pm.

Margaret was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and selfless love will continue to live on through her family and all whose lives she touched.

David Lynn Buttelwerth, known affectionately as “Dave” to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born on January 28, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, David's life was a testament to his loving, thoughtful, and selfless nature.

David's journey began as a proud graduate of St. Henry High School, where he formed the foundation of a life characterized by hard work and dedication. His commitment to service was evident through his time as a veteran of the United States Air Force, a period of his life that shaped much of his discipline and camaraderie. After his military service, David embarked on a long and fulfilling career as a dispatcher in the logistics and trucking industries for many years. He was respected by colleagues and friends alike for his integrity and work ethic.

Outside of his professional life, David was an avid golfer and a cherished member of the Perry Park Country Club. His love for the game was paralleled only by his passion for collecting stamps and golf scorecards, hobbies that he pursued with great enthusiasm. David also found solace in bird watching and feeding the birds, activities that reflected his appreciation for nature's simple pleasures.David's faith played a central role in his life. Alongside his beloved wife of 63 years, Maureen Buttelwerth, he was a long-time member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Their shared devotion was a source of strength and inspiration for their family and community.Family was the cornerstone of David's world. He was a devoted husband to Maureen, a loving brother to Mary Jo Stull (Bruce), Tina Goodson (Michael), and Matt Buttelwerth (Tracy). He was a guiding light to his children, Daniel Buttelwerth (Sheila), Terri Thomas, and Sherry Reeves (Mike). David's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Ashley, Erik, Kyle, Brett, and Shannon, and his five great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the values he instilled in them.

David was predeceased by his brothers Gene Buttelwerth and Dennis Buttelwerth, who welcomed him with open arms on the other side. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by the countless lives he touched with his generosity and kindness.

Oreta “Rita” Lynn Adkins King, age 71, of Independence, Kentucky, formerly of Raceland, Kentucky, passed away on December 17, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. Rita was born and raised in Raceland, Kentucky, and was a 1972 graduate of Raceland High School.

Rita worked for CSX and Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital during her career. After retiring, she enjoyed working at the Independence Shell Station, where she met many people who became dear friends. She loved University of Kentucky basketball, Cincinnati Reds baseball, and Cincinnati Bengals football.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy King; her mother, Betty Adkins Harper; her sisters, Regina Peffer and Esther Halleck; and her brothers, Al Halleck and Tony Halleck.

Rita is survived by her daughters, Dava (Aaron) Musick and Amy Martin; her grandchildren, Riley (Karissa) Musick, Abbie Musick, Tyler Musick, and Peyton Martin; and her great-granddaughter, Mabel Musick. She is also survived by her nephew, Travis Martin; her niece, Sam Harper; and her two loving cats, Lily and Louie.

A celebration of life will be held on January 3, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at The Atwood Hill Winery Farmstead House, located at 1616 Spillman Road, Morning View, Kentucky.

Linda Louise Bradford

Linda Louise Bradford, born on April 11, 1962, in Levittown, PA, passed away peacefully at her home in Florence, KY, on December 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Linda's life was a tapestry woven compassion, dedication, a love for people, nature and her faith."

At the age of 19, Linda was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in which she became completely blind and paralyzed for the next year. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree in geology and her Master's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. Afterward, she worked for the state of Ohio for 5 years before her MS reached a point where she was no longer able to work. During the next 32 years of her life, Linda lived with MS, but never lost her faith and love for people. She had a sharp wit and unusual sense of humor that put people at ease. As she met many caregivers, medical professionals, people in the community and the church. She was an encouragement to all who met her as she learned to live with her MS and accompanying symptoms while keeping her strong faith and noticing the amazing world around her.

Linda was not only a devoted professional but also a beloved member of her family and community. She was married to her husband of 34 years, Stephen Bradford, sharing a life rich with love and respect. Together, they were leaders of small groups at the Vineyard Christian Church, where their shared faith and commitment to community shone through in all that they did.

Her family includes her son, Greg Bradford, and her granddaughter, Roslyn Bradford, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Linda also shared a special bond with her siblings: sisters, Luigina Yerino and Lisa Smith; and brother, Lawrence Yerino, who is married to Susan. She cherished her sister-in-law, Phyllis Yerino, and held a dear place in her heart for her many nephews: Alex Smith, Ben Yerino, Nick Yerino (Kaylen), Adam Yerino, Greg Yerino (Laura), and Chris Yerino (Kim).

Linda's interests extended far beyond her professional endeavors. She enjoyed reading and writing and had a vibrant passion for photography. Her love for nature was evident in her gardening, and she spent countless hours watching the beauty of various birds, particularly hummingbirds. This appreciation for the world around her added a layer of richness to her life.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Lario and Louise Yerino, and her brother, Lario Yerino. Their memories continue to be cherished by those she left behind.

The visitation for Linda will take place on December 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:30 PM at Alliance Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 7816 Dixie Hwy, Florence, KY.
