It's a hard feeling to describe, but if you suffer from OCD, you will feel identified.....

Intrusive thinking is so elusive that, at times, it makes us believe we are lost from ourselves, challenging our values and bringing a deep sense of self disconnection, which generates anxiety and an uncomfortable feeling.

Don't be alarmed or frightened by this, it's just another disguise, feeling lost is often part of the equation, take it as something temporary that will pass, knowing that you will feel connected to yourself again.

👉. Try to transit that anxiety as a symptom of OCD and let it run without resisting it, as much as possible, and avoid giving feedback.

You know your values and attributes as a person better than anyone else ❤️

The content of your thoughts does NOT define you as a person.

Many times, after an intrusive thought visits us, we trigger the compulsion, we seek to eliminate it and lower the anxiety.

Perhaps after running this circle, you begin to make a value judgment about yourself because of the thought you just had.

👉. Never put yourself at the level of an intrusive thought, you are not responsible for what you cannot control.

If you find yourself in that situation, try to bring awareness to the moment and understand that nothing what the intrusive thought says has anything to do with who you really are, don't hold yourself responsible.

Keep this tip in mind 👆 every chance you get ❤️

We all know how to be indifferent...

Indeed, at some point in your life, you must have practiced indifference.

When we are indifferent to something, we represent an attitude of total disconnection, we present neither inclination nor rejection, directly being indifferent means completely ignoring that people/situation, etc.

💪 In this case, practicing indifference with OCD is extremely powerful, this week, we ask you to save this post and practice it.

Put into practice being indifferent to it, disconnect completely, no matter how much its voice comes, try to practice indifference.

▶ We don't beat OCD with more mind, but with a different attitude.

In our Feeling Better Program, you will find daily exercises to be able to disconnect.

💜. You deserve to Feel Better too.

The mind is so confusing that many times an intrusive thought can be camouflaged as a genuine thought or a "sign" of something, which confuses us and makes us enter into an endless debate, but nothing could be further from the truth....

👉. The intrusive thought is ONLY BURDENING NOISE, it is not a sign of anything, and it does not depend on us, therefore, we should not pay attention to it or respond to it.

✅. Analyze this carefully, try to be aware of these disguises to identify them in time, and use this as a small tool to apply daily.

Why is it so hard for us?

It is difficult to understand why it is so hard for us not to fight the OCD, it may be because of the degree of rejection that the intrusive thought generates in us, it may be because we really feel that we cannot stand idly by in the face of such an attack, it may be because we look for a way to argue that what the OCD tells us is not true.

The only certainty is that the more we fight, the farther we are from winning the fight because the real battle is within ourselves and it is about NOT ENTERING INTO THE FIGHT.

I know it is hard for us, but actually, NOT FIGHTING the intrusive thought is the way for it to lose strength and retreat.

Try to be aware of this point, put it into practice as much as you can, just the fact that you are aware that there is a possibility of not engaging is already a big step, and if you can practice not responding, it is an even bigger step.

Excellent start of the week for everyone; review the tips and practice them, together we are stronger 💜

We must make friends with the recovery process; it is not a goal to reach but rather a process that requires our energy and commitment.

Keeping ourselves within the process without anxiety is key to being able to acquire and apply tools that will make us feel better in the long run.

🙏. If you are in the middle of the process and have "bad days," don't get anxious or give up, they are part of the equation.

Committing to recover is a giant step and a fact to stand up and applaud ourselves.
