I love North St. Louis County and its people. The diversity, heart, and strength of the people have always amazed me.
NoCoSTL (this page & the nocostl.com website) were always intended to highlight and build on the strengths of the many great communities and people in North St. Louis County. We want these resources to:
— Highlight people, places, companies, non-profits, and events that make NoCoSTL special.
— Bring people and companies/organizations together for worthy causes that strengthen the community — with a focus on building on its strengths.
— Build upon the love so many NoCoSTL residents have for both the area and their neighbors.
I believe the NoCoSTL area is positioned to, and capable of, being a beacon of wellness in diversity. It can show the greater St. Louis area (indeed the nation) what it means to live together in understanding and love.
But life takes us in many unanticipated directions. Recently life has moved my family closer to some relatives and, sadly, away from North County. I am saddened that I cannot continue this important work. But I want it to go on.
Because of that, I'm making several websites/properties available to people and organizations that share my love for North County, understand the dream of lifting it up as a beacon to our broader community, and are willing to work for those purposes.
The available properties are:
— The NoCoSTL page and any other related Social Media Accounts we control.
— The NoCoSTL.com domain name. Not the existing website as it uses software I cannot provide. However, if the new owner purchases their own licenses, they may have that also.
— All logos, etc related to NoCoSTL that I own the rights to.
— Probably some other stuff I can't remember right now.
Additionally, there are three domain names for specific events that are also available:
— NoCoHopsStops.com. The idea was to organize trips to the breweries around NoCo as a fundraiser for local charities and to build community.
— NoCoRestaurantWeek.com. Restaurant Weeks are a popular way to support local businesses, build community, and raise funds for local non-profits.
— NoCoDiningClub.com. This idea brought diverse people from across our community together to support local restaurants and build community a few years ago.
Some of these domains will be expiring shortly. So, if you're interested we should transfer them before that occurs.
