Now that the government is back open, it’s time to act. Every day the Save Healthcare Workers Act isn’t passed, nurses and hospital staff face violence and fear going to work.

Introduced by Senators Angus King (I-ME) & Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) and Representatives Madeleine Dean (D-PA-04) & Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA-01), this bipartisan bill would make it a federal crime to assault hospital staff. Some bills pass in days—this is an urgent issue.
