It was a productive day in St. Louis hosting Dr. Craig Forsthoefel for a hands-on cadaver lab and product overview. From lateral techniques to deformity solutions, the day was centered on meaningful education, impactful dialogue, and advancing patient care. Thank you to Dr. Forsthoefel for his commitment to collaboration, amid an exceptionally demanding schedule. We also extend our thanks to our Distributor partner, Iwona Rogala of APEX Spine, and RVP Nick Scodary for their leadership in delivering a successful VIP visit.

A sacroiliac joint fusion procedure performed using the Zavation SInapse® SI Fusion System with a posterior oblique approach. The system’s self-tapping, self-drilling screw design and purpose-built instrumentation supported the surgeon’s intended screw placement. In this procedure, the surgeon reported improvement in the patient’s SI joint–related pain. We had an incredible time at the Orlando Bioskills Lab, organized and hosted by Dr. Michael Hill. Both Dr. Hill and Dr. Clayton Bauer led stations showcasing our EZspand, Normandy, Tiger 2, and Kyphoplasty solutions alongside CBYON. This event continues to provide exceptional hands-on training and meaningful connections with surgeons and leadership. We’re grateful for the opportunity to highlight our commitment to innovation and surgeon partnership.

This past weekend, we had the honor of hosting Dr. Lauren Nelson, MD, and Dr. Kayla Bradburn, MD, of Tennessee Orthopedic Alliance at our St. Louis facility for an immersive hands-on lab. It was especially meaningful to welcome them back to St. Louis, where they graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

As twin orthopedic spine surgeons, they brought a unique dynamic to the lab, working with our Siber® Ti lateral SI screw approach and ZVPlasty™ Systems.

Thank you to Dr. Daniel Scodary, our Product Managers, and Medical Education Team for their expert support. We’re grateful to Drs. Nelson and Bradburn for visiting and look forward to growing our partnership!

We are excited to announce the first successful implantations of the Varisync® ALIF NanoPrime™ System, a next-generation stand-alone ALIF system featuring Zavation’s proprietary titanium ion bond technology.

Dr. Steve Zhou shared “The NanoPrime™ ALIF cage offered excellent radiographic visibility and the potential to lead to positive surgical outcomes. Its softer modulus compared to pure titanium reduces the risk of subsidence, while the titanium-bonded surface promotes solid fusion and eliminates my concerns of fibrous union.”

🎃 Happy Halloween from all of us at Zavation!
Things have been a little spooky around our offices lately! Our Flowood team celebrated with a fun-filled Tailgating Party—complete with great weather, delicious food, and plenty of team spirit. Meanwhile, our St. Louis office kept the Halloween spirit alive with a costume contest and festive activities that let everyone’s creativity shine.
