🎃 Happy Halloween from all of us at Zavation!
Things have been a little spooky around our offices lately! Our Flowood team celebrated with a fun-filled Tailgating Party—complete with great weather, delicious food, and plenty of team spirit. Meanwhile, our St. Louis office kept the Halloween spirit alive with a costume contest and festive activities that let everyone’s creativity shine.

🎓We recently wrapped our Q4 Distributor Product Training and were thrilled with the outstanding participation and engagement from our Distributor partners. We’re proud of the entire group for their commitment to learning and advancing clinical excellence.

Congratulations to Adam Hassouneh and Sofia Baptist for testing in the top three — and a special shoutout to our Design Engineer Ben Glore, our top performer! Ben joined this training voluntarily to deepen his product knowledge, and we couldn’t be more impressed with his initiative and dedication.

None of this would be possible without the leadership of Clare Strand, Director of Medical Education, and our dedicated Product Management team.

Our Chairman of the Board and former CEO, Jeffrey Johnson, recently welcomed his Entrepreneurship class from Jackson Preparatory School to Zavation’s Headquarters in Flowood, Mississippi. The students experienced a behind-the-scenes look at our operations and learned about innovation, leadership, and growth opportunities within the medical device industry.

We were proud to have Jackson Prep alumnus and Zavation Design Engineer, Noah Slack, share his perspective on engineering and product development, offering students a real-world view of how ideas become solutions.

Zavation recently had the honor of presenting to the Texas A&M Economic Society as part of their Tuesday guest speaker series. Our Chief Commercial Officer, Derek Kuyper, and Regional Vice President of Sales, Nathan Teague, shared insights into what a career in our industry looks like.

From our company’s mission to real-world sales experience, the students asked thoughtful questions and showed great enthusiasm for learning about Derek and Nathan’s field of expertise. We recently hosted an Advanced Lateral Lab at Camls in Tampa, FL, designed for experienced spine surgeons seeking to expand the application of the lateral approach in their practices. This immersive training focused on complex case strategies, advanced instrumentation, and surgical techniques.

Surgeons had the opportunity to engage hands-on with our Lateral Fusion System, gaining direct experience with its features and design. This interaction supports familiarity with the system’s intended use and may aid in facilitating clinical decision-making.

A special thank you to our faculty - Dr. Ryan DenHaese, Dr. Bradley Stephens, and Dr. Yi-Ren Chen - for their time, expertise, and commitment to surgical education. We are already looking forward to the next one!
