Here we are at the end of yet another year, and I'm thinking about transitions. Transitions come in all sizes, shapes and emotions. They can be unnoticeable or life altering, easy or difficult. Transition periods can be so slow you think they will never happen or so fast you don’t have time to blink. Transitions in and of themselves are neutral; how we perceive them is what gives them a negative or positive charge.
The majority of our transitions are so small we don’t even notice them - the transition between the inhale and exhale. It’s in those spaces between transitions that we have the opportunity to find our center - our quiet equilibrium - to gracefully move into the next phase, to look at how we are viewing the upcoming transition and potentially change our point of view from negative to positive.
From that quiet moment at our center, we can potentially let go of any fear, anger and trepidation and possibly embrace the joy and beauty that this new phase may bring. In order to do this, we must be present and willing to let go.
If you are looking at a transition and having problems finding your center. You may be experiencing pain or discomfort in some part of your body. Massage and energy work can help relieve the pain and assist you in finding that quiet moment to let go.
