This Presidents’ Day, we honor all who have served as President of the United States.

Throughout our nation’s history, many U.S. Presidents have urged Americans to give blood and serve their communities through blood donation. Some of these individuals include President Jimmy Carter, who regularly donated blood; President Richard Nixon, who established National Blood Donor Month in 1970 to raise awareness of the ongoing need; and Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush, who publicly supported blood donation efforts.
