April is Autism Acceptance Month. Autism is characterized by its symptoms, which can include repetitive behaviors used for self-soothing and different methods of social communication and interaction. Autism can make some typically difficult tasks easier for the person to do (such as math or music) but make other tasks harder. It's important to look beyond the label and get to know the individual as each person with autism is unique and has much to offer!
