🌸 I’m Back! 🌸

After a long and life-changing journey through breast cancer, I’m so excited to share that I’ll be returning to work as a massage therapist at both my office and at Advanced Chiropractic and Massage.

These past months have been filled with surgeries, treatments, healing, and deep reflection — and now, I’m ready to return to the work that brings me so much joy: helping others feel better in their bodies. 💆‍♀️💖

To ease back in as I rebuild my strength, I’ll be starting with limited hours at Advanced Chiropratic And Massage:
✨ Wednesdays & Thursdays – 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM appointments
✨ First Saturday of each month
✨ (More days and times will be added as my energy allows!)
And by appointment at my office.

If you’d like to schedule a session, if you are an ACAM patient please call the office (810 659 9700). If you are a client of mine and would like to see me at my office, than message me directly to reserve your spot — both places tend to fill quickly.

Thank you for your love, patience, and support during this chapter of my healing. I can’t wait to see familiar faces (and new ones too!) back on my tables again.

✨ Massage Therapist, Now Featuring Lasers ✨
Hey friends! Just popping in with a quick update: I’ve officially started radiation—30 rounds of being zapped Monday through Friday for the next 6 weeks. It's basically the worst spa package ever, definitely not recommend. This will be running through early September.

Meet Georgette (2nd pic), my new ride-or-die bestie. She’s all business, no personality, but we’re making it work. 🙃

I’ll be off the table (literally) for another couple of months while I focus on healing from stage 3 breast cancer. If your back, neck, or soul needs a little love in the meantime, I’ve got a few amazing massage referrals—just message me and I’ll hook you up.

Thanks for all the support, laughs, and check-ins. Y’all are the real MVPs. I’m just over here glowing in more ways than one. Love and miss you all! I can't wait to see you all again! 💪💖🩷

🌡️☀️ Heat Stroke vs. Heat Exhaustion – Know the Signs, Save a Life! ☀️🌡️

Summer heat can be dangerous—especially if you're working or playing outdoors. It's important to know the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and what to do if symptoms appear.

🛑 HEAT EXHAUSTION – Warning Signs:
✅ Heavy sweating
✅ Weakness or fatigue
✅ Dizziness or confusion
✅ Nausea or vomiting
✅ Cool, pale, clammy skin
✅ Muscle cramps
✅ Fast, weak pulse
✅ Headache

⚠️ What to Do:
➡️ Move to a cooler place
➡️ Loosen clothing
➡️ Sip water
➡️ Apply cool, wet cloths

🔥 HEAT STROKE – A Medical Emergency!
🚨 Call 911 Immediately if You See:
❗ High body temp (103°F+ or 39.4°C)
❗ Hot, red, dry or damp skin
❗ Rapid, strong pulse
❗ Confusion or unconsciousness
❗ Seizures

⚠️ What to Do Until Help Arrives:
➡️ Move the person to a cooler place
➡️ Use cool cloths or a cold bath
❌ Do NOT give fluids if unconscious

🧊 Stay Safe This Summer:
✔️ Hydrate often
✔️ Wear light clothing
✔️ Avoid peak sun hours
✔️ Check on elderly neighbors and pets

Hello everyone!

Just a little update. It’s been almost a month since my double mastectomy, and I want to say a heartfelt thank you to those who have reached out or sent prayers—your support truly means so much to me.

Big milestone yesterday: I was finally able to wear a shirt that goes over my head instead of a button-up! That’s a big deal for me right now, as I’m still having some difficulty lifting my arms—especially on the left side. I’m hopeful that as the swelling continues to go down over the next couple of weeks, that will improve.

Next week, I have a consultation with my radiologist. During surgery, they discovered another type of breast cancer in the pathology, and 2 out of the 4 lymph nodes they removed tested positive. Upgrading me to Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Because of that, there’s a good chance I’ll need both chemotherapy and radiation, rather than just radiation. Not the news I was hoping for, but I’m staying open-minded until I hear what the doctors say.

I’ve been doing my best to rest and recover properly so I can return to work—I miss everyone so much.

So, what do you do when you're home recovering from a "boobie snatching"? You dive into a course to deepen your knowledge of scar release therapy—specifically focused on breast cancer recovery. This one explores the effects of lymph node removal and the emotional healing that goes along with it.

I’ve been practicing MPS Scar Release Therapy for over a decade, working with clients who’ve had everything from reductions and enhancements to tummy tucks, c-sections, and just about any surgery you can think of. It’s truly been a game changer—helping relieve pain and improve range of motion.

I'm excited to dig even deeper into this work—not just to help others, but to help myself too. 🥰

Dear Clients and Friends,

I wanted to share that I’ll be undergoing a mastectomy on April 23rd, and will be taking a minimum of 4-6 weeks off from massage sessions to focus on healing and recovery. I know this is last minute but they had a cancelation and could fit me in. ☺️

That said, I may be able to begin offering Reiki and MPS Scar Release again around mid-May, depending on how recovery goes. But no massage what so ever. We will see how things go.

For my regular massage clients, I do have a trusted stand-in available. If you’d like their contact information, feel free to message me directly and I’ll be happy to share it.

Thank you all for your continued support, understanding, and kind energy during this time. I’m looking forward to returning as soon as I’m able!
