Last week, we hosted a bittersweet retirement celebration for Gywen Dumas, marking the culmination of her 26 and a half years of dedicated service to the residents of Live Oak Village. While we are thrilled for her to have the opportunity to travel and spend time with her grandchildren, we will deeply miss her. Her unwavering commitment to our community has been truly remarkable.

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we would like to share something we are grateful for: our volunteers. We are blessed to have many from our community who come in on a regular basis and volunteer their time to share their gifts and abilities with our precious residents. Though there are too many to name individually, they are not overlooked. Each and every one of them holds a special place in our hearts, and they are greatly appreciated. Pictured here is Carol; she comes in every week and teaches one of her favorite games, Mexican Train Dominoes. We also have Pastor Greg Hagan from Magnolia Springs Baptist Church, who comes to share an in-depth Bible study. Thanks again to our community and our volunteers. It truly takes a village, and our residents are so appreciative of all you do.
