This isn’t a camp where kids are told what to make —it’s a place where imagination runs wild, ideas turn into reality, and the woods become their workshop. 💡🌲

Through hands-on tinkering, collaboration, and big creative ideas, children build confidence, problem-solve in real time, and experience the deep satisfaction that comes from creating something entirely their own.

With the Winter Olympics just around the corner next month, we couldn’t wait to bring the spirit of the games to the woods next week. ❄️🌲

At Winter Olympics, our TimberNook drop off program for children ages 7–12, the kids will have the opportunity to create and play in their very own winter games—designed by them, inspired by nature. Using loose parts we provide and natural materials they discover in the woods, kids will imagine, build, test, and refine creative challenges that invite big movement, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Think snow-built courses, balance challenges between trees, invented competitions, and lots of laughter as ideas come to life. There are no medals here—just creativity, collaboration, resilience, and the joy of child-led play outdoors.

As athletes around the world prepare for the Winter Olympics next month, your child can experience the excitement now—in a way that’s meaningful, hands-on, and unforgettable.

✨ Happening next week — spots are limited. Sign your child up for Winter Olympics and let them create, move, and play in the best arena of all: the woods. 🌲❄️

❄️ 🎨 On a quiet, snowy day in the Wisconsin woods, our Tiny Ones explored art the TimberNook way—painting fresh snow, with flowers, and whatever else the forest offered like pine cones. Between brushstrokes, little bodies slid down snowy hills, tasted fresh snow, and followed their own curiosity through the trees.

This is early childhood at its best: sensory-rich, child-led, and deeply peaceful. When toddlers are given time, space, and nature, creativity and wonder naturally unfold.

Play isn’t extra. It’s ESSENTIAL. ❄️

When children are given time, space, and trust to play freely outdoors, they build strong bodies, capable minds, and resilient hearts.

At TimberNook, we protect play by taking it outside - where imagination runs wild, movement is big, and childhood gets to unfold the way it’s meant to.

Let them climb. Let them create. Let them play.

Check out episode 667 of the podcast to hear (founder of TimberNook) tell the story behind why she started TimberNook and the blessings it has brought so many families, including us here at !

There’s a special kind of magic that happens when little boots crunch snow, tiny hands gather sticks, and imagination is given the space to roam freely in the woods. 🌲✨

Our Tiny Ones TimberNook series invites children ages 1–6 (with a caregiver) to slow down and explore the seasons together through open-ended, child-led play—right in the heart of nature.

❄️ January | Snow Art
💌 February | Valentine’s Day Post Office
🍕 March | Pizza Kitchen

Each program transforms the forest into something new—an art studio made of snow, a woodland post office filled with heartfelt deliveries, a bustling pizza kitchen crafted from mud, leaves, and sticks. We provide thoughtful materials to spark ideas, and the woods do the rest.

Playing outside in every season supports growing bodies and brains—building resilience, confidence, creativity, and a deep sense of comfort in the natural world.

🕤 9:30–11:00am
💵 $20 per session or $50 for all three
🌿 Ages 1–6 with a caregiver

Come wander, create, and wonder with us. 💛

The kids found buried treasure in the woods today that helped them create shelters, go fishing, and cook to “survive”…but I think you can tell what the standout favorite activity they decided to do today was!

They used loose parts like wooden ladders, ropes, and wooden boards to create their own sleds. They even assessed the risks when it seemed like something wasn’t a good idea and came up with safety solutions themselves. They worked together to get those big ladders up a slippery, snowy hill.

It may look like “just sledding” to some people, but it’s so much more than that.
✔️ Teamwork
✔️ Problem solving
✔️ Risk assessment & mitigation
✔️ Physical activity
✔️ LOTS of laughs

We have another winter program happening tomorrow that’s truly one-of-a-kind! Join our Night Games evening program for some nighttime winter fun in the woods!
