đź’š More than a wellness space, we're a community rooted in care. And today I want to take a moment to introduce myself.
Hi, I'm Patti. đź‘‹
I'm the sole owner, sole provider, and honestly, the sole heart behind A Breath of Fresh Air. When you walk through my door, you're not being handed off to a stranger.
My journey into holistic wellness wasn't just professional, it was deeply personal. I know firsthand what it feels like to struggle with your health and not feel heard. To sit across from someone and walk away with more questions than answers. To wonder if there's another way, a more natural, whole-body approach that actually honors how God designed us to heal. That experience didn't discourage me. It lit a fire in me. 🔥
It drove me to learn. To learn that there are other ways, natural ways. About the incredible things vibration massage therapy and red light therapy can do for the body, about the gentle power of ionic foot detox, and about the time-honored wellness support of colloidal silver products, which I now handcraft myself, in small batches with quality and care. Every single product and service I offer, I offer because I believe in it. Not because it's trendy. Because it works, and because people deserve access to it.
I chose to set up right here in Fond du Lac — in the warm, welcoming space at Nourish Beauty & Wellness — because this is my community. These are my people. And I want to serve them well. 🌿
What I've learned in this work is that healing is rarely just physical. It's emotional. It's spiritual. It's relational. People don't just come in with sore muscles or tired bodies — they come in carrying heavy weeks, big worries, and quiet hopes. I hold all of that with care. Every single time.
So whether you've been curious for a while, whether a friend told you about me, or whether you just happened to stumble across this post today. I want you to know that you are welcome here. There's no pressure, no judgment, and no question too small. We'll just talk. I'll listen. And together we'll figure out what your body and your spirit might need most right now.
I started A Breath of Fresh Air because I believe everyone deserves to feel well. That belief hasn't changed for a single day. đź’š
I would truly love to meet you.
Give me a call!

For many years, I struggled with living at an unsustainably fast pace. I was constantly rushing—trying to complete tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible, always focused on what was next. At the time, I did not fully recognize the toll this lifestyle was taking on both my physical and mental health, particularly the strain it placed on my nervous system.

When I became ill with autoimmune disease, I was forced to slow down in order to allow my body the space it needed to heal. During that period of rest and recovery, I began to see improvements in my health. However, as I started feeling better, I gradually returned to my previous pace of living. It did not take long before I noticed familiar symptoms resurfacing—digestive issues reappeared, and I constantly felt as though I was operating in a state of fight-or-flight.

Once again, I was compelled to slow down. This time, I began to understand that the pace at which I was living was not sustainable for my body. I had been trying to keep up with the demands and expectations of the world around me, without acknowledging that my needs were different—and that being different is not a flaw. It simply requires a different approach.

I began making intentional adjustments to my daily routine. Instead of setting my alarm for the last possible minute and starting my day in a rush, I created space each morning to drink tea, read, and journal. I also became more mindful of how quickly I moved through everyday activities—washing dishes, showering, walking—and practiced approaching them with greater presence and calm.

Over time, I noticed meaningful improvements. My body felt more regulated, and my overall well-being improved. I am not perfect—there are still days when life requires me to move quickly. However, I have learned that this journey is not about perfection. It is about building small, sustainable habits that support long-term health and allow me to feel my best.

Slowing down was not a setback; it was a necessary shift toward healing.

One topic I frequently discuss is my experience living with autoimmune disease and the journey I took toward healing. However, prior to receiving those diagnoses, I struggled for many years with an eating disorder—an experience that I personally believe contributed to the development of some of my autoimmune conditions.

There was a period in my life when I exercised for two or more hours every single day, while not consuming nearly enough nourishing food to properly fuel my body. From the outside, I appeared to be the picture of health. Teammates and classmates often praised my discipline and physical condition. What they did not see was the reality behind it: constant exhaustion, persistent bloating, and the fact that I had gone three years without a menstrual cycle.

I lived in a cycle of restriction and punishment. Eating something as simple as a bowl of popcorn would lead to skipping meals the following day as a form of self-discipline. Internally, I struggled with a relentless voice telling me I had to work out. Exercise no longer felt enjoyable or empowering—it felt obligatory and consuming.

Looking back, this is when I believe my gut health began to significantly deteriorate. Not only was I under-fueling my body, but I was also fixated on low-calorie options and frequently consuming artificial sweeteners and zero-calorie substitutes. Over time, this pattern took a severe toll on my digestive system.

Five years later, my health had dramatically declined. I experienced painful bloating after nearly every meal, severe constipation, and chronic inflammation. My body no longer felt resilient—it felt as though it was working against me rather than for me.

When I finally shifted my focus toward recovery—healing from anorexia and learning how to properly nourish my body—I began to see profound improvements. My performance in the gym improved, my academic performance strengthened, and most importantly, my overall quality of life transformed.

These experiences are why I am so passionate about supporting others who may be navigating similar struggles. I firmly believe in encouraging sustainable, nourishing habits rather than restriction or punishment. Your body is not something to fight against—it is something to care for, respect, and support. How you choose to do that is ultimately up to you, but it should always come from a place of compassion rather than control.

A message to our friends and a reminder to the ones who need to hear it…
•
Life is busy. We all know that struggle. The work schedule, the chores, the outings, the kids activities/sports, the to-do lists, the gatherings, all the things that keep us “busy”. Behind all of that is just a person wanting to enjoy every day as much as possible, we know they go by fast.

Let this be your reminder. You don’t have to rush into work, you don’t have to do the laundry or clean the dishes, a few things on the to-do list can wait. Slow down. Ask yourself, what is important to you right now in this moment?

I do this often. As a business owner/mom/wife, life is busy. But when an alarm goes off inside me that my body needs rest, I listen, recharge, come back better. I default always to being a mom first. It’s my favorite job out of all of them. It grounds me, they ground me.

So today, ask yourself:
What actually matters in this moment?
What can wait?
What would it feel like to choose peace instead of pressure?

Even five intentional minutes can reset your entire day.
