April Fools' Day brought plenty of laughter to Juniper Village as we celebrated with a few lighthearted pranks. Community members got a real chuckle out of the "Peep Show" display, which featured the iconic marshmallow candies. The humor continued with our "Brown E's" for dessert! It was a wonderful day filled with good spirits and shared jokes, proving that a little bit of wit goes a long way in bringing everyone together.

The Amazing Glazin' Baking Club officially launched Thursday morning at Juniper Village! Residents gathered to create Surprise-Inside Crescent Eggs. A special thank you to Ulla, who lent a talented hand in the kitchen to help bring these festive treats to life. It was a wonderful morning of flour, fun, and culinary creativity, and we are already looking forward to our next sweet project.

Juniper Village at Forest Hills is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Greenawalt as Executive Director. Karen is a familiar face to the community, having previously dedicated over a decade to the organization as Business Manager. During her ten-and-a-half-year tenure, she was instrumental in supporting daily operations and cultivating deep, lasting relationships with residents, families, and team members alike.

After a 15-month period gaining additional experience within the senior living industry, Karen has returned to the organization she considers home. Her intimate knowledge of the community's culture and her commitment to excellence make her uniquely qualified to lead the Forest Hills team into its next chapter.

"I am honored and thrilled to be joining Juniper Village at Forest Hills as Executive Director,” said Greenawalt. “Juniper has always been a special place to me, and I look forward to working with our team to provide exceptional care and a vibrant community for our residents and their families.”

Congratulations to our own Adam Sweetland who completed this culinary masterclass!

A regional cohort of Juniper's Dining Directors gathered at Juniper Village at Lebanon for an intensive, hands-on butchery masterclass led by experts from Foods Galore, Inc.

The session provided our culinary leads with practical, hands-on training in:

▪️ Precision Butchery: Advanced techniques for beef and pork breakdown.

▪️ Yield Optimization: Strategies for cost-effective purchasing and sustainable product utilization.

▪️ Safety & Artistry: Expert-led sessions on knife safety and specialized cooking techniques.
