At least 24% of US adults are estranged from their siblings. Choosing estrangement isn't always easy. It's not a trend or something that happens as a result of being unable to communicate or advocate for themselves.

People often underestimate how many are exposed to abusers and relationships with people who feel comfortable repeatedly being disrespectful. At the end of the day, people have a right to make the choices that make them feel safe.

When it comes to dysfunctional sibling relationships, repair is possible, but both parties have to be willing to work toward repair through active listening, accountability, and openness to change.

For World Mental Health Day I had the pleasure of partnering with the to share the stage with and for a sacred conversation on human connection and siblinghood.

During our talk I got to introduce my relational framework The Siblinghood Theory and I ran into so many other wonderful creators.

The summit was a beautiful way to celebrate World Mental Health Day.
