We believe in providing quality care in a compassionate and therapeutic manner. Our dedicated team is committed to treating the whole person. This highly individualized treatment includes the individual receiving care as well as their family and community. As partners, together we seek innovative paths towards wellness. Riveredge Hospital is a free-standing psychiatric facility, meaning we specialize in the treatment of behavioral health. We serve the Chicago and surrounding region by delivering specialized care to children , adolescents, young adults, adults, and geriatric persons. Physicians are on the medical staff of Riveredge Hospital, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Riveredge Hospital. The facility shall not be liable for actions or treatments provided by physicians. We are unable to provide medical advice through social media. Holiday Week was a great success. Spirits were high and joy was in full effect as staff enjoyed several activities throughout the week including a hot cocoa bar, sweet treats, bread bowl soups, and delicious meal for all shifts.

As winter sets in, Riveredge Hospital is partnering with Proviso Township, Oak Park Township, and our hospital community to collect winter clothing for those in need. Grateful to work alongside our communities to help keep those in need warm.

If you've been feeling a little heavier as the seasons change, you're not alone. Seasonal Affect disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that can return around the same time each year - and it's okay to acknowledge when things feel off.

A few best practices that may help:
- Get outside or increase light exposure when possible
- Keep a simple routine for sleep, movement, and meals
- Stay connected with friends, family, and coworkers
- Do one small thing each day that brings comfort or joy
- Reach out for professional support if symptoms start to feel overwhelmed

We were thrilled to welcome 30+ student counselors from the Chicago Public School district to Riveredge Hospital.

Our leadership team had the opportunity to speak directly with the counselors, sharing insights about our hospital, programs, and services. Attendees received detailed information about our intake process and had the chance to ask thoughtful questions about our intake process for children and adolescence.

It was an inspiring event and a great opportunity to educate counselors about the resources available to support individuals and families in need.

As we wrap up the week of Veterans Day celebrations with gratitude and pride.

Governor's State University hosted a beautiful and well-executed ceremony honoring all who have served. The event featured an inspiring presentation by the Crete High School ROTC, who paid tribute to our flag with excellence and respect.

We also heard powerful words from Governor's State University President Joyce C. Ester and the head of the Women Veterans Association, Margo - both reminding us of the strength, sacrifice, and resilience of our veteran community.
