Here’s an infographic for postpartum Moms and/or anyone caring for a postpartum woman (or soon to be).
Many of these symptoms are common so there’s nothing wrong with you, Mama. Hormones can do some interesting things to us.
You got this: find your safe people and lean on them, drink water, eat balanced meals, get outside, exercise, sleep (as often as possible), and reach out for professional help if something feels off… trust yourself, you’ll know. ❤️
And for the caretakers: the postpartum time period is so important, the woman’s care is just as important (if not more) than the care of the newborn. Watch her carefully. Listen to her. Hold her. Nourish her: warm healthy foods, hot teas, lots of water (especially if breastfeeding), give her time to shower/walk/eat/sleep. And please do your best to keep her life drama free… she deserves peace as her body heals and as she takes on this new role. During this time, everything the mother endures is also experienced by the new baby so intentionally love and nurture the Mother too ❤️
