Today was truly special for myself and The Hive 💙

We were honored to be recognized as a sponsor of the 1st Annual Throttles for Autism Ride throughout the City of Lynchburg. Being part of something that brings awareness, unity, and support to such an incredible community means so much to us.

A heartfelt thank you to Joyful Journeys, one of the fellow sponsors, for providing transportation for The Hive in their Executive Sprinter — your kindness and support did not go unnoticed!

And the biggest shoutout goes to my bestie, Theresa Hayes, who led this entire event with such passion and purpose. Your love for your MSR family and the community shines so brightly, and it’s inspiring to witness. I’m beyond proud of you and grateful to stand beside you.

Today was more than a ride — it was a reminder of what happens when hearts come together for a greater cause. 💙

Tomorrow marks the day of our highly anticipated event. Let's come together to participate in the ride for autism awareness. Individuals interested in participating are requested to arrive at Harley Davidson before 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, the 18th, at the latest. A Joyful Journeys executive vehicle will accompany the ride to promote awareness, and participants are welcome to ride in the Joyful Journeys executive transport van. It promises to be an exhilarating day. We look forward to your participation. We love our Hive!! 🖤💛🐝💛🖤

The Hive Day Services is proud to be one of the recipients for this amazing community event, and we would LOVE to see our individuals, families, supporters, and community members come out and show love!

Join us for Throttles for Autism Ride on:

⏰ 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Sign up + FREE Lunch)
📍 Harley-Davidson Lynchburg

🚦 Kickstands up at 1:30 PM
🏁 Stops include:
🍻 3:00 PM – Stadium Inn (Co****le Competition, raffles & DJ Kool V)
🔥 7:00 PM – Boot City (Rider Fellowship & Kickback)

‼️Unfortunately our driver is snowed in and unable to get out for transport tomorrow. So if you ride on The Hive van we will not be able to pick anyone up. But WE ARE OPEN so if you want to provide transport we would love to have everyone that can safely come!

We are seeking experienced Community Engagement Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are passionate about working with individuals with disabilities in a community-based setting, attending events, and fostering personal growth and social interactions within our local community. We have openings for 2nd shift positions (2pm-9pm). Candidates must pass initial testing, including background checks and drug screenings. Strong documentation skills are required.
