Impact Living Services (ILS) is a non-profit agency dedicated to changing outcomes for at risk youth and families throughout Virginia. ILS is a licensed child placing agency providing treatment foster care services and transitional living services focused on assisting youth in foster care by promoting interdependence so that each youth may reach their individual potential socially, academically, vocationally and relationally. In addition to providing an independent living and foster care services, ILS provides outpatient counseling, therapeutic mentoring, and other community-based services to all eligible clients in the Central Virginia area.

What an Incredible day!
We had the privilege of visiting Capital One headquarters in McLean, Virginia, where we connected with the amazing team at Comfort Cases — and the Capital One team assembled comfort cases on our behalf to distribute directly to the youth we serve. No child in foster care should have to carry their belongings in a trash bag, and thanks to this generous partnership, ours won't. We can't wait to get these into the hands of our young people. 💙

Trauma in youth doesn’t always look like sadness.

Sometimes it looks like anger. Sometimes it looks like shutting down. Sometimes it looks like perfectionism, people-pleasing, or acting like they “don’t care.”
