From 12 to 15 September 2024, RendezVous kicks off the artistic year with a weekend of openings, performances, and spontaneous get-togethers throughout the city’s many contemporary art galleries.

Today marks 541 days without a government in Brussels — a sad record. The lack of a government is putting a chokehold on the Brussels scene, both emerging and established. As a young organisation taking on the responsibility of a 15-year-long-standing yearly event, we can testify to the precarity this imposes.

Brussels generates prosperity across Belgium. RendezVous exists thanks to our internationally renowned gallery community and our private partners who continue to believe in the beauty of Brussels and the resilience of its citizens — even in times of political neglect.

Your Polestar RendezVous

During Brussels Art Week, we teamed up with our partner Polestar Electric Vehicle.
The cars facilitated our behind-the-scenes preparations - its spacious trunks carrying leaflets, merchandising and flowers all around town, whilst our international guests and press were driven around in style to go see as many as venues as possible during
their stay with us.

𝓕𝓸𝓻 𝓾𝓼 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓶𝓪𝓷𝔂, 𝓑𝓻𝓾𝓼𝓼𝓮𝓵𝓼 𝓲𝓼 𝓪 𝓾𝓷𝓲𝓺𝓾𝓮 𝓹𝓵𝓪𝓬𝓮!

This 2nd edition of RendezVous Brussels Art Week was nothing short of incredible:
💫 65 exhibitions across 64 venues — from galleries and artist-run spaces to institutions and auction houses
💫 84 events in just 4 days, including talks, performances, and late-night parties
💫 26 free guided tours through 6 neighbourhoods
💫 3,125 registered guests for performances, readings, guided tours and artist talks
💫 between 300 and 1200 visitors daily for our participating galleries

At the heart of it all was the Salon de RendezVous at The Tip Inn, conceived by Zoe Williams, where conversations, readings, performances and listening sessions kept the energy flowing.
We are so grateful to everyone who made these days possible — galleries, artists, partners, and of course, you - our visitors! Thank you for stepping outside, discovering new voices, reconnecting with familiar ones, and celebrating the cultural heartbeat of Brussels with us.
