Responsibilities
Support efficient daily operations.
Oversee patient care processes from initial consultation through treatment completion, ensuring a positive patient experience.
Coordinate chairside assisting during procedures such as fillings, extractions, Root Canals and crown preps using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Manage clinical workflows by scheduling appointments, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are ready for use.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies.
Utilize EMR systems such as Fuse and Eaglesoft to document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes efficiently.
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures for all dental instruments and equipment.
Conduct routine intra oral photos and X-ray procedures, including digital imaging and 3D scanning when applicable, to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
Monitor vital signs of patients as needed to ensure safety during procedures.
Collaborate with the dental reception team to facilitate smooth patient flow and effective communication across departments.
Stay updated on advancements in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and related fields to enhance clinical practices.
Support compliance with all regulatory standards such as HIPAA and medical coding requirements for accurate billing and documentation.
Requirements
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment; prior experience in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry is a must and highly valued.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
Proficiency in Dental software systems.
Familiarity with medical imaging including X-ray technology and 3D scanners used in diagnostics.
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care using four-handed dentistry methods.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to pediatrics and general health assessments.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff members.
Certification in Radiology and CPR.
