Lego demonstration at the Villa this afternoon! We witnessed bags of “Lego peices” transform into a boombox and a parrot!! Some of us recalled the boombox and we named the parrot Minnie! Anyone is welcome to come on in and demonstrate/discuss a Lego creation with us!! Please contact the Villa to reserve a date and time!! Look forward to hearing from you!!

Our ageless adventure has continued… impromptu! Lego demonstrations, creating one of a kind vases with real flowers and decoupage, topped off with homemade brownies and banana bread has filled up the last couple of days with new experiences and fun!! we are so lucky!

Our final Ageless Adventure -Norway!  One of the best places in the world to witness both the northern lights and the midnight sun( the sun doesn’t set in the summer). From the West Coast fjords to snow dusted mountains, Norway‘s natural landscape scapes are wonderfully diverse.  The spirit of innovation runs deep in Norway.  Among many other inventions, a guy named Thor, patented the cheese slicer in 1925, which is now a staple in kitchens throughout the world. Of course, we made Lefsa for snack! Staff members, Maya and Laura, rolled and flipped for the first time! For some of us, it was the first time we’ve ever seen a demonstration of Lefsa! Uffda! It was a busy day and great time!

Up north, eh?  Yep, buddy, that’s where we went today. Surrounded by three oceans, Canada has a “ tri coastal status” unlike any other country in the world and has the longest coastline in the world! We took a virtual tour of the International Peace Gardens-which borders the Providence of Manitoba and the state of North Dakota plus…we learned a bunch of interesting facts about our Canadian friends! Sand art, another new experience for most of us!

Bonjour! Off to France on Day 5! We virtually toured Paris and learned many interesting facts about the City of Lights!! Since cake decorating was rumored to start by a French bakery in the 1840s, we decorated cakes(fake cakes)!! All unique, and beautiful in their own way! Another adventure that many of us haven’t experienced.  It’s so true, adventures are ageless!
Tomorrow, we travel to the 2nd largest country in the world! It will be Loonie and Toonie time!

We had some very special guests stop over to wish us a homecoming week hello. Ruby’s great grandson, Scotty was crowned Sargent Central’s homecoming king. Addison was crowned homecoming queen. Thank you so much for coming to visit us. We truly appreciate you thinking of us.

Day 4 of our AGELESS ADVENTURE during National Assisted Living Week!!
Hiya!  A friendly greeting from the Scottish people.
We learned that Scotland is famous for its stunning Highlands, historical castles, world renowned Scotch whisky, tartan kilts, and the legend of the Loch Ness Monster named Nessie.  It’s the birthplace of golf, home to haggis(Scotland’s most iconic dish-we all agreed-YUK!) and breathtaking landscapes seeped in culture and history. Our surprise snack was homemade sticky toffee pudding-affectionately called “Heaven on a Plate”. Yum!! We saw images of iconic castles, not all 3000 of them, but the most popular. Many of us experienced watercolor painting for the first time! What an awesome adventure!
Tomorrow, we say bonjour to all!!
