Abuse isn’t defined by bruises — it’s defined by harm and control.
If this resonates, you’re not “too sensitive.” You’re responding to abuse. 🤍🕊️

You don’t have to navigate this alone. Let us help.

We don’t have a loneliness problem in today’s dating culture —
we have an anesthesia problem. 🩹

Instead of sitting with discomfort or looking inward, many people use casual dating to numb emotional pain.
In the process, others are left carrying pain they didn’t cause. 💔

Healing begins when we pause and ask:
What’s going on inside of me that keeps attracting this type of relationship?
When you do that inner work — especially after IPV or emotionally abusive dynamics — you don’t just heal…
you save yourself years of repeating the same cycle. ✨

You deserve connection that feels safe, not familiar chaos. 🤍

✨ Things I’m Not Tolerating in 2026 ✨

• Victim mindset that blocks growth
• Avoidant behavior disguised as “independence”
• Emotional manipulation masked as love
• Carrying other people’s unresolved trauma
• Over-giving at the cost of my own well-being

Healing taught me that boundaries aren’t selfish — they’re necessary.
If you’ve struggled with any of these in the past or are navigating them now, you’re not alone.
Let’s talk. 🤍

🌿 Healing from dissociation happens step by step.

Trauma treatment for dissociation may include:
1️⃣ Gently getting to know dissociative parts with curiosity, not fear
2️⃣ Grounding the body using tools like the 5-4-3-2-1 technique
3️⃣ Creating intentional free-time routines and learning how to rest
4️⃣ Developing consistent sleep schedules 😴
5️⃣ Establishing safe, grounding spaces throughout the home 🏡

🌿 Recovery from dissociation is not rushed — it’s intentional. Healing focuses on safety, nervous system regulation, and reconnection at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable.

✨ Healing is possible. Support is available.

🚪 Struggling to leave an unhealthy relationship is not uncommon — and it is not shameful.

The average length of time it takes to leave an abusive relationship is 7+ years.
Many survivors experience repeated cycles of: Leaving➡️Returning➡️Leaving➡️Returning

This happens because abuse often creates:
🔒 Trauma bonds
💰 Financial dependence
😟 Fear and survival-based responses
🧠 Erosion of self-trust over time

If this resonates, please know:
✨ There is nothing wrong with you. ✨

🕊️ Healing happens on your timeline. Therapeutic support can help untangle trauma bonds, restore autonomy, and move forward in ways that feel safe and empowering.

🧠 There is a strong connection between IPV and dissociation.
Research shows that dissociative symptoms are present in up to 50% of IPV cases.

Dissociation is the brain's way of protecting someone when life feels overwhelming or unsafe. It may include:
🌫️ Feeling numb or disconnected
🧠 Memory gaps (dissociative amnesia)
💭 Feeling “outside your body”
😶‍🌫️ Brain fog or zoning out

Dissociation is not a weakness — it is a survival response. 🤍

Trauma-informed therapy helps survivors understand dissociation with compassion and safely reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and sense of self.

🤍 National Cuddle Up Day – January 6 🤍
Even with a warm 77° January day ☀️, it’s still the perfect time to slow down and cuddle up. Comfort and connection aren’t just for cold weather 🤍

Cuddling supports emotional regulation, reduces stress, and reminds our nervous system that we’re safe and connected—whether it’s with a partner, a child, or a furry friend 🐾✨

Take a pause today. Lean into closeness.
Who’s getting your extra snuggles? 💬

🔄 Abuse often follows a cycle — not a straight line.

Many people imagine abuse as constant violence, but IPV commonly occurs in repeating phases:
➡️ Tension building
➡️ Incident (emotional, verbal, physical, sexual, or financial)
➡️ Reconciliation or “honeymoon” phase
➡️ Calm — until the cycle begins again

Abuse can take many forms:
⚠️ Emotional & verbal abuse
⚠️ Psychological control
⚠️ Financial abuse
⚠️ Isolation
⚠️ Sexual coercion
⚠️ Intimidation or threats

Understanding the cycle of abuse can bring clarity, reduce self-blame, and help survivors recognize patterns that were never their fault.

🌿 Education is often the first step toward healing.

🧠 Abuse doesn’t always leave bruises — sometimes it leaves doubt.

Many survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) experience abuse that is emotional, psychological, or coercive rather than physical or sexual.

The most damaging abuse often shows up as:
🔹 Constant criticism
🔹 Gaslighting
🔹 Being questioned, minimized, or blamed
🔹 Slowly losing confidence and a sense of self

Over time, this kind of abuse can leave someone doubting their worth, their reality, and their ability to trust themselves. 😔

💛 Healing begins with understanding. Trauma-informed support helps survivors recognize emotional abuse, rebuild self-confidence, and gently reconnect with their inner strength.
