We see this one a lot, so here’s a quick pharmacy tip 💡

👉 Prescriptions work on an ‘either/or’ rule:
✔️ You can refill it until refills run out
✔️ OR until the expiration date on the label

⏳ Whichever comes first is the final answer.

So even if refills are still listed, once that expiration date passes, we need a new prescription from your provider.

Not a problem—just part of keeping your meds safe and up to date ❤️
And yes… we’re always happy to help explain it at the counter 😊

A prior authorization means your insurance wants extra info before they’ll pay — even when your doctor already said it’s needed.

💡 What to know:
• This is an insurance rule, not a pharmacy delay
• We don’t get a paid claim until it’s approved
• It can take days (sometimes longer 😬)
• We follow up more than you realize

Let’s talk pain relief—without the pill bottle. 👇

Diclofenac Gel (OTC) is a popular option for joint and muscle pain, especially for arthritis in the hands, knees, feet, elbows, or ankles.

What it is:
Diclofenac gel is a topical anti-inflammatory (NSAID). Instead of traveling through your whole body like oral pain relievers, it works right where you apply it.

Why people love it:
✔ Targets pain at the source
✔ Less stomach risk than oral NSAIDs
✔ No swallowing pills
✔ Great option for chronic joint pain

How to use it correctly (this matters):
• Apply to clean, dry skin
• Use the dosing card that comes in the box
• Rub in gently—don’t overdo it
• Wash hands after (unless treating hands)
• Use up to 4 times daily, as directed

Important things to know:
⚠️ It’s still an NSAID—just topical
⚠️ Avoid using with other NSAIDs unless your doctor says it’s okay
⚠️ Don’t use on broken skin
⚠️ Not meant for back pain or hip pain (doesn’t pe*****te deeply enough)

Who should ask before using it:
• Anyone with kidney disease
• Those on blood thinners
• People with heart conditions
• If you’re already taking oral NSAIDs

Bottom line:
Diclofenac gel can be a game-changer for joint pain—but using it correctly makes all the difference.
