Annie had a great time riding with her new friend Deanna Schultz to the 3rd Annual LPC Day at the Georgia State Capitol last Thursday. It was such a meaningful day advocating for the profession and the clients we serve.

One of the highlights of the day was Annie’s excitement about meeting with Tangie Herring, where they discussed innovative ideas to strengthen students’ mental health and continue creating spaces where young people know they are not alone. Conversations like these reflect why Annie is so proud to be a Licensed Professional Counselor and to be part of a community committed to expanding and strengthening mental health support across schools and communities.

The conversation, coffee, and camaraderie were truly top tier. Being in a room with fellow LPCs who are committed to growth, advocacy, and excellence in care is always energizing.

One powerful takeaway? In today’s ever-changing social and technological landscape, LPCs face a constant barrage of new challenges. And yet, we consistently meet them with curiosity, collaboration, and solution-focused thinking. Our shared commitment remains steady: ensuring that those seeking quality mental health care are met with both compassion and competence.
