The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on Jan. 30, 2026. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status. Continuity of health care is our highest priority, all MTF services are open, including scheduled appointments and pharmacy services.

Army Reserve Soldiers of the 7248th Medical Support Unit and the 7413th Troop Medical Clinic, both units originating from El Paso, Texas, have been conducting medical and dental validations of mobilizing and demobilizing service members and civilians at Vogel Hall Soldier Readiness and Processing Center here, as well as providing first aid and triage at the TMC in McGregor Base Camp, New Mexico, during both unit mobilizations here.

Congratulations to 2nd Lt. Jeremy E. Fowler of the Texas Army National Guard on his graduation from the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) today at William Beaumont Army Medical Center!

The IPAP is a rigorous, 29-month master's degree program that trains service members to become highly skilled Physician Assistants. Army PAs are a critical part of the medical force, serving as primary care providers in units across the globe. They are true force multipliers, enhancing medical capabilities and ensuring our soldiers are healthy and prepared for any mission. 2nd Lt. Fowler's dedication and new expertise directly contribute to by keeping our fighting force in top condition.
