Sherwood Oaks Health Center At Sherwood Oaks we have a full time Physical Therapy program to help people gain strength to improve the quality of their llife and return home.

Sherwood Oaks has been a privately owned nursing facility for over 30 years.We are experienced in short term rehabilitation, respite care, hospice and those suffering from memory loss.We offer an extensive activity program to meet the individual needs. Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy is offered 5 days per week and is covered under most medical insurance plans. A dentist come to the facility routinley to provide on site dental check-ups and cleaning services. Laboratory service is provided by a local phlebotomist twice per week in the facility. 24 hour licensed nursing care is provided and includes medication administrationm, wound care, and the over seeing of medical care needed for each individual. Pharmacy Services: Medications are delivered to our facility daily by our pharmacy. We offer a varied and delicious menu. All meals are prepared onsite and dilivered to residents in their preferred dining area three times per day. Personal preferences and dietary needs are evaluated on admission and are quarterly for each resident. We also have an on site Beuty Salon that provides cuts, colors, sets, and manicures. We have housekeeping staff working 7 days per week. The facility provides an excellent cleaning staff who keep the the facility sparkling and smelling pleasant daily.

On December 31st and yesterday, Jan 4th, our team spent some time at Sherwood Oaks Health Center providing vaccinations for 58 of their staff members as they continue to diligently provide care at their facility. Staff at Sherwood Oaks have been hard at work on the front lines caring for those at their facility, working to keep them safe and provide optimal care.

Kelly Hendricks, our Inpatient Director was on site administering vaccines to staff. “The welcoming I received and gratitude from staff was wonderful and I was so fortunate to be able to bring them the vaccine. We really are a small community here and we want to take care of each other.” Kelly said of her visit to the facility. The staff was incredibly thankful to be provided the vaccine as they are part of a critical, high risk population and are the next group in line to receive these as part of the guidelines to be vaccinated in order to keep residents safe while they work on the front lines.

Dr. John Cottle, the Medical Director at Sherwood Oaks Health Center and their Nursing Director, Luna Armstrong said, “What a tremendous relief that was felt when Adventist Health delivered 58 doses of COVID vaccine for Sherwood Oak's employees. It couldn’t have come at a better time. We are deeply grateful for this and previous collaboration, providing the best health care possible not just for Adventist's own facilities, but for our entire community.”

We are incredibly grateful to continue our partnership helping to keep our community safe as we work to combat the spread of COVID-19. It is one of our top priorities and a great honor!
