November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month aka Movember. Mendocino County PublicHealth is raising awareness about men’s health - focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Early detection saves lives. Watch for symptoms like difficulty urinating or pain, and talk to your doctor about screening.

Know your family history and stay proactive with annual check-ups and healthy habits. Learn more: cdc.gov/prostate-cancer

Last Friday, this lovely group came in wearing pink to show their support and bring awareness to Breast Cancer. 🎗💓

Join us in showing support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing your favorite pink outfit on Friday, October 24!

Whether it’s a bold pink shirt, bright accessories, or subtle touches of color, every shade of pink helps raise awareness and shows solidarity with those affected by breast cancer.

Wear It Pink is part of an annual global campaign that began in the United Kingdom in 2002, created by Breast Cancer Now, a leading breast cancer research and support charity. Over the years, it has inspired millions across the world to come together in a vibrant display of hope, strength, and unity.

This campaign not only raises awareness, but also encourages early detection, education, and funding for breast cancer research and support services.

Let’s stand together in support of those fighting, those we’ve lost, and those who have survived. Together, we can make a difference.

She brings a wealth of experience from years of managing primary care clinics, community health centers, and both domestic and international public health programs. Linda Jo is also trained as a hospital and law enforcement chaplain and certified in Critical Incident Stress Management. We’re so grateful to have her rejoin the CRC team! 🌺
