Womack Army Medical Center has officially launched a transformational, multi-year expansion of its surgical capabilities with a wall-breaking ceremony this week. This project is a major investment in the health and readiness of America's Soldiers and their families.
"It’s a major investment in the future of Womack and will help ensure we remain at the leading edge of military medicine," said Dr. Michael Bartoszek, deputy commander for Surgical Services.
This expansion not only means faster recovery times and smaller incisions for patients, but it also solidifies WAMC as a premier academic medical center for training the next generation of Army surgeons.

Hear that buzz? 🐝 It's spring🌸, and our bee friends are back!
They're not out to get you; they're busy pollinating the food we eat and fueling our economy!
Unfortunately, bees are under threat from pesticides, climate change, habitat loss, and parasites.
Simple safety tips:
▪ Do not disturb nests or hives
▪ Allergic? Talk to your physician about medication
▪ Do not apply pesticides that are harmful to pollinators
▪ Call experts for nest relocation
Let's protect these tiny heroes!
