We haven't scheduled our decorating day yet. We try to share this annual volunteer opportunity to different groups, so everyone gets a chance. It's not too late to call (270) 798-8330 and see if we can schedule your group this year! πŸŽ„

Disney VoluntEARS stopped by Fisher House to decorate it for the holidays. It's part of an annual tradition to bring holiday magic to veterans and their families.

We're enjoying the fabulous colors surrounding us on this beautiful 🌞 day.

Thank you to our friends from Progressive for their hard work and support! Last week, they revamped the landscape around the fountain and did a little grocery shopping. No guest is going hungry. πŸ˜‹

Our Story

Fisher House Foundation donates "comfort homes," built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times - during hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury.

Our home was dedicated on June 6, 2006. As of September 2018, we have been home to 1122 families, providing over 10,000 nights of lodging, with an average stay of 9 days. This equates to an estimated savings of $1,151,955 to our guest families. Over 60% of these families were here due to deployment related injuries & illness, while 9% were here to support a retiree or veteran family member. With a staff of only 2, we’ve relied on our volunteers. They have logged nearly 18,000 hours - the key word being β€œlogged”, as many of them don’t keep track. ;)

Thank you to everyone that has been part of our story!
