Sound familiar? While this is great advice when you break a bone, the rest-fully approach commonly recommended to athletes may actually make your injury stick around longer.

It takes only 10 days to see SIGNIFICANT decreases in muscle size and strength (atrophy) even in those following a regular strength routine leading up to their rest period.
