Interstate compacts - Leverage the benefits!
Courtesy of - TELEHEALTH.HHS.GOV

Lately, I am being asked what will happen when the COVID waivers are lifted? What is the easier way for providers to practice in multi-states other than Telemedicine. HHS.Gov has some useful information, quoted below:

Interstate compacts (agreements between two or more states) make it easier for health care providers to practice in multiple states — expediting the licensing process or allowing members to practice under a single multistate license. The list below includes some of the larger compacts backed by well-established regulatory boards. Many also meet the federal licensing requirements of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. For details, see Medicare Clarifies Recognition of Interstate License Compacts .

For physicians
The Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
streamlines the licensing process for physicians so they can practice medicine in multiple states. About 80% of physicians meet the criteria for licensure through the Compact, according to the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Commission (IMLCC) https://www.imlcc.org/
For a list of participating states, see the Compact state map https://lnkd.in/egTKCuX

For nurses
The Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) authorizes eligible nurses to practice across multiple member states while maintaining a single license. For a list of member states, see Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
https://lnkd.in/eKAZnYhc

For psychologists
The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT)
authorizes eligible psychologists to practice telepsychology across member states. For a list of member states, see legislative resources map https://lnkd.in/ea5BmzVc
The Multi-Discipline Licensure Resource Project also offers online and phone support to address psychology licensure questions. https://lnkd.in/emRKzRqx
For physical therapists

The PT Compact http://ptcompact.org/
authorizes eligible physical therapists to work in multiple member states under a single license. For a list of member states, see Compact map https://lnkd.in/edD6jcC
The Multi-Discipline Licensure Resource Project also offers online and phone support to address physical therapy licensure questions.

For Emergency Medical Services (EMS) workers
The EMS Compact authorizes EMS personnel to work in multiple member states under a single license. For a list of member states, see EMS Compact member states & commissioners.

For speech language therapists
The Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact (ASLP-IC)
authorizes telehealth and in-person practice across state lines. For a list of member states, see Compact map – ASLPCompact

Provider Data, a journey that starts with just your name and your specialty! Med staff verifies provider legal name, verifies their specialty boards and saves it credentialing database. The same 5 elements of provider data now is used by payer enrollment team to submit for approval and then it uploads in provider directory of the health plans to help their members locate in-network providers. Wait, we are not done yet, these 5 data elements is also used by the hospital communications team to link to their website to introduce the same provider to their community. There is a lot of data standardization, data definition, data management happens in the backend to make this journey successful and meaningful. We know how this works, let us help you implement a Data Strategy to help your community find the right provider for their care.

Credentialing and Enrollment go hand in hand. Let us show you how to build an efficient workflow!

Overview of Credentialing Process.pdf
Design a workflow to demonstrate how medical staff credentialing functions can overlap payer enrollment and delegated credentialing. The purpose was to reduce turnaround times (TAT) to onboard a clinician

Cred2Bill functions in a paperless environment, all applications are pre-populated when we send them to the providers for their review and edits only. can you imagine the smiles when a provider says, "that is all I had to do?" Just review and update info instead of completing a 15-page application for Med Staff and then for payer enrollment! Data integrity and data management is something we are good at, 97.3% data accuracy maintained in about 11 hospital – CVO. We follow NCQA standards in credentialing. Do you want to explore options for delegated credentialing? We can help.
