🔥Teacher Feature!!🔥
We are so happy to be welcoming Wendy Phillips to our weekly teaching staff! She’s been with us on our sub list for quite a while now and so excited to be taking over the 8 AM Saturday morning Radiant Morning: Align + Flow !!
We asked her some questions so you can catch her vibe…
1> Tell us about your yoga journey so far …
🔥I found Yoga over 30 years ago, taking my first class in Boulder at the nudge of a close friend. After a turbulent childhood, finding yoga gave me my first true taste of a regulated nervous system. Through the years it has supported me through physical pain and injury, mental highs and lows, and it guides me in remembering to observe, to breath, and to try to live as ethically as I can.
2> tell us about your teaching style …
🔥I attended YTT at Old Town Yoga here in FOCO 15ish years ago. I was fortunate to study in the Viniyoga tradition under the loving guidance of the most amazing teachers. From the foundation of this lineage my classes are breath centered and thoughtfully sequenced to work with all bodies and abilities. I strive to meet folks where they are both on and off the mat so I try to teach to the room and always offer options/modifications. I’ve moved around a lot over the last decade and have taught SO MANY different styles of classes to SO MANY different humans, I bring that experience and mindfulness to every class.
3> what aspect of Yoga philosophy has made the biggest impact on you?
🔥I had the great gift of studying yoga philosophy under the late Michael Lloyd-Billington. He has inspired me in so many ways, and I hope to be half as good of a human being as he was. “Yoga is the resolution of the agitations of the mind.” (Yoga Sutras) Yogic philosophy supports me in seeking equanimity, observing the patterns of my mind in an attempt to reduce my suffering and the suffering of others. The principles of Ahimsa (non-violence), Satya (truthfulness) and Dharma (ethical living) probably guide me the most. And, I’m not sure what my life would be without the practice of Pranayama and Meditation.
4> what are you up to when you’re not teaching? 🔥When not teaching I’m reading, cooking and spending time in nature and with loved ones. Put my ass in a river or any body of water and I’m the happiest I can be:)
5> what’s currently lighting up your world?
🔥Witnessing and practicing small acts of kindness lights me up right now. Helps to counter how heavy the world feels right now..
6> anything else you’d like to share?
🔥I look forward to seeing old faces and making new connections at Be Free.

Sat Mar 7th | 5:30-9pm | Be Free Healing Center
Sunday March 15 | 7-8:15pm | Zoom Follow Up Call
Sankalpa is a Sanskrit word that is the quiet truth that lives at the center of who we are — our deepest meaning, purpose, and most heartfelt intention. When we connect with it, we root into a sense of direction that feels authentic, steady, and aligned with our inner wisdom.
You’re invited to join Sarah Martin for a nourishing practice where we explore your Sankalpa through breath, mindful movement, guided journaling, and sound. Together, we will gently soften the layers that obscure our inner knowing and listen for the intention that wants to be spoken through your body and heart.
This class is an invitation to pause, reconnect, and remember what matters most. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of your personal Sankalpa and practices you can return to anytime you need to realign with your purpose.
All practices are adaptable and offered in an atmosphere of compassion, curiosity, and community.

Sunday afternoon March 1st 3-6pm w/ Marti
Step into a sanctuary of stillness with Re+Center, a deeply nurturing workshop designed to soothe your nervous system and restore inner calm. We begin by gathering in sacred circle, co-creating a communal altar to honor intention and presence. You’ll then be guided through gentle breathwork and tapping — simple, accessible rituals to help you release stress and reconnect with ease. From there, melt into a 90-minute restorative yoga practice infused with hands-on Reiki, offering energetic support and deep relaxation. We close with a 30-minute sound bath, enveloping you in healing vibrations that invite surrender and serenity. This immersive experience is crafted to help you let go, receive, and recalibrate. Expect to leave feeling lighter, held, and profoundly rested, like you’ve just had the best nap of your life, wrapped in care and quiet renewal.
