Our National Picnic Day celebration may have started with plans for sunshine, but when the forecast had other ideas, we brought the picnic indoors—and honestly, it just made it even more fun!

The room was filled with laughter, great conversation, and an incredible spread thanks to our residents, who showed up big time with homemade sides and desserts that did not disappoint. 🍓🥗🍰

Meanwhile, our maintenance team took charge of the hot dogs like seasoned pros—serving them up hot and fresh with a smile. 🌭

And in true picnic fashion, we even had “ants”… the adorable kind! 🐜 A special thank you to our lovely resident Linda for donating the cutest ant décor that added the perfect playful touch to our food tables.

Rain or shine, this is what community looks like—coming together, making memories, and turning any day into something special. 💛

Yesterday’s Butterflies & Brushstrokes: A Spring Paint & Sip was nothing short of magical 🦋🎨

Our craft room was filled with laughter, creativity, and a splash (or two!) of color as residents brought their beautiful spring masterpieces to life. From soft pastels to bold spring hues, every canvas was as unique as the artist behind it. And of course, the “sip” part made it even more fun—because everything is better with a little cheers mixed in! 🥂

Events like this are what make our community so special—coming together, trying something new, and creating memories (and artwork!) to take home. We’re still smiling from all the joy that filled the room 💐

Last week’s Happy Hour was more than just a fun gathering—it was a heartfelt celebration of Purple Up Day 💜

Purple Up Day is a meaningful observance dedicated to honoring military children—the brave, resilient kids who serve our country in their own way by supporting their families through deployments, relocations, and everything in between. The color purple symbolizes all branches of the military united, and wearing it is a simple but powerful way to show our appreciation and respect.

Our community came together dressed in purple, sharing stories, laughter, and gratitude as we took time to recognize these incredible young heroes. It was a beautiful reminder of the strength of service families and the importance of coming together to honor them.

🥚✨ The Great Golden Egg Hunt was one for the books! ✨🥚

Our community was buzzing with excitement as we hid nearly 200 eggs throughout the courtyard inclusing the pickleball court, outdoor kitchen, and grill area… and let’s just say, our residents were on a mission! 👀

🐣From sneaky spots to “how did they even find that?!” moments, the hunt was just as fun to watch as it was to play. Laughter, a little friendly competition, and plenty of golden surprises filled the afternoon 💛

And the prizes?! Oh, they were GOOD. We’re talking everything from sweet treats 🍬 to fun swag, gift cards, and even a FREE night stay in our guest suite!

What a spectacular night we had at The Great Affinity Game Show this past Saturday! ✨🎉

We were thrilled with the amazing turnout and all the excitement that filled the community from start to finish. The evening began with our pre-show mixer in the pub hosted by our Resident Social Committee, where the energy was already buzzing! Guests enjoyed all the greenroom classics to get show ready with tasty sandwiches, refreshing margaritas, and plenty of mingling—but this wasn’t just any mixer… this was where the magic began. 🍹🥪

During the mixer, everyone received their official team assignments and stepped into the spotlight as our very own “contestants.” From that moment on, it truly felt like a live game show experience, with all the fun, flair, and friendly competition you could imagine. The anticipation built as teams sized up the competition and got into character—it was such a fun and playful way to kick things off! 🌟

Then it was time for the main event! The room came alive with sports trivia, decade trivia, and music trivia that had everyone thinking, laughing, and cheering each other on. We had karaoke performances that brought the house down, dance-alongs that got everyone on their feet, and so many moments filled with singing, laughter, and pure joy. 🎤💃

A huge thank you to Kevin and Next Contestant Games for delivering such an engaging, high-energy experience and making everyone feel like a star for the night. You truly brought the whole event to life!We loved every minute of celebrating, connecting, and creating memories together.

🍀 Clover Crawl at Affinity! 🍀

Our Happy Hour last week turned into a merry little adventure with our Clover Crawl!

Residents followed playful leprechaun footprints from room to room, each stop bringing a new sip, a new laugh, and maybe a wee bit of Irish luck.

☘️Along the way we enjoyed Irish Whiskey Jell-O Shots, the colorful End of the Rainbow Cosmo, Leprechaun Margaritas, and of course plenty of Green Beer and Green Wine to keep spirits high. 🌈🍹

With lively tunes, shamrocky decorations, and a building full of smiling faces, it felt like a proper Irish celebration. The only thing missing was a real leprechaun—but judging by the footprints, we’re pretty sure one stopped by!

Sláinte to good friends, good cheer, and a little mischief along the way! 🍻☘️

🎬✨ Lights, camera… community!

At Affinity at Fort Collins, our theater is so much more than just a place to watch a movie — it’s a place where neighbors gather, laugh, learn, and share experiences together.

On Monday nights, the big screen comes alive with our weekly movie nights, while Wednesday afternoons bring cozy movie matinees. Later, the theater transforms again for our Wednesday night operas, where residents can enjoy beautiful performances right from their seats. But the fun doesn’t stop there!

The theater is also a favorite spot for watching big games, community meetings, special presentations, and all kinds of gatherings that bring our community together.

From popcorn and movies to music and meaningful conversations, our theater is always buzzing with something exciting. It’s just one more way life at Affinity keeps the fun rolling and the friendships growing. 🍿🎭

Our brand-new tables and chairs have arrived, and we couldn’t be more excited!

These additions help create an even more welcoming and comfortable atmosphere in the lobby—perfect for gathering, chatting with neighbors, or simply relaxing with a cup of coffee.
