Tender Gifts Birth

Tender Gifts Birth Dedicated to empowering families through a serene and holistic birthing experience whether you are in our center or cozy at home.

NOCOS only freestanding Birth Center As an alternative to hospital birth, Tender Gifts Birth Center is Northern Colorado's first full-service, freestanding birth center. The atmosphere of our Colorado birth center will give you a caring, warm, and home-like environment where you are supported and respected as well as safe and secure. You will have a private room, bathroom & birthing tub for giving

birth the way you choose: make yourself comfortable, wear the clothing you choose, eat when you feel hungry, move as you please and choose to labor in a birth tub or have a waterbirth. In addition to our birth center, we also provide homebirth midwifery care, women's health services, prenatal care, and doula training for the Northern Colorado community.

This is only half of the Grand Junction team. Who should we ask next?! What is YOUR go to Starbucks order?! We want to know. Drop your answers in the comments!!

What is a “Meet The Team”? It’s an open house style event with the purpose of families, providers, and community members coming to meet the Tender Gifts team members, ask questions, see the birth center, network, and build community!

We love meeting each person that walks through the door! Snacks are provided, you can stay as long or little as you can, kids and babies are SO welcome, and we LOVE getting to know you and answer any questions you bring.

Come meet us every 1st Friday of the month at the Fort Collins birth center and every 3rd Friday at the Grand Junction Birth Center.

The American Association of Birth Centers publishes Standards for Birth Centers, which
include:

• safety and emergency protocols
• staffing requirements
• clinical guidelines
• facility design
• quality data reporting

Many birth centers also pursue accreditation through the Commission for the Accreditation of
Birth Centers (CABC). We are in the process of working on our CABC accreditation.

Happy Birthday, Brecklen 🤍

I first met you as a client, before there was even a birth center. Over time, I had the honor of walking alongside you as your preceptor, watching you step into this work and grow into the incredible midwife, leader, and woman you are today.

From student to Administrative Director, you have been part of every step of this journey. You’ve helped build this place into what it is, and even played such a huge role in opening our Grand Junction location. Your dedication, steadiness, and heart for this work are woven into everything we do.

This center truly would not run the way it does without you.

I am so proud of you and so grateful to walk alongside you in this work and in life.

Now everyone say HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRECKLEN 🤍🎉

This. This is why we do what we do. This is what it feels like when we all become family and come together for another miraculous, powerful, beautiful birth. This strong family has such a special place in our hearts. God is so so good. A beautiful, joyful, Fort Collins Birth.

The words escape me to describe and capture this Grand Junction birth and mother. But I’ll try. Beautiful. Powerful. Prepared. Loving. Strong. Persistent. Empowered. In-tune. Capable. Diligent. Supported.

As doulas, it truly is an honor to witness and support mothers and families as they bring their babies Earth side, to teach and help them prepare, to watch spouses and families grow and get stronger together. 🩷

Althea Hrdlichka, CPM

As a mother of four, I found my enjoyment and satisfaction during pregnancy was truly dependent on the support I received. I have had four completely different birthing experiences. Some were fulfilling while others fell short. This is why I chose to dedicate my life's work to assist women during pregnancy and childbirth by becoming a CPM (Certified Professional Midwife).

I also keep a current certification in neonatal resuscitation and CPR. While homebirth is a mostly natural form of childbirth, I work closely with doctors, chiropractors and other medical providers to bring every element of care necessary to service all of my clients needs throughout their pregnancy and childbirth. I’ve worked with women through both natural and medicated births, and assisted with many successful VBAC’s in the hospital and at home.

I am passionate about providing supportive, gentle and loving care to all my clients so that they may experience the birth they deserve. I look forward to providing care and knowledge to you and your partner as well as a safe and satisfying pregnancy and birthing experience. I cannot wait to meet you and assist you through your journey to a wonderful and satisfying pregnancy and birth.
