The first 30 days can be emotional for everyone.

It's normal for:
- Your loved one to feel unsettled
- You to question your decision
- Adjustment to take time

But structure, routine, and consistent support often create stabilization that families couldn't achieve at home alone.

We walk closely with families during this transition, because this isn't just a move. It's a major life change and you are not alone.

We hear this often. Many spouses or adult children promised they would "never move mom or dad into a facility." But sometimes love means recognizing when needs have changed.

Moving into memory care is not breaking a promise.

It's ensuring safety.
It's ensuring stimulation.
It's ensuring support beyond what one person can provide alone.

It you're struggling with guilt, know this: asking for help is not failure. It's responsible and compassionate.

We're here to walk that journey with you.

Competition was heavy in the air today!

Staff and residents enjoyed working on fine motor skills, coordination, hand-eye focus, and social engagement through a simple but powerful hands-on activity. These small moments make a big impact.

Valentine's Day magic at Aspens! ❤️

Our very own Administrative Assistant Rhiannen brought in her harp and filled the building with the sweetest music for our Valentine's Day party. Many residents have not had the opportunity to play one before, so she invited residents to try it themselves! Moments like these are what make our community so special. Thank you Rhiannen!

Families often ask what the difference is between memory care and assisted living.

Memory care communities are specifically designed for individuals living with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia.

That means:
- Secured environments
- Staff consistently trained in dementia-specific support
- Structured daily programming
- Support with behaviors, not just tasks

It's not just about assistance; it's about understanding how the brain changes and adapting care accordingly.

If you're unsure which level of care your loved one needs, we're happy to help you navigate that decision.

One of the most common questions families ask is: "How do I know when it's time to move?"

Memory care isn't about "giving up." It's about providing structure, safety, and support in a setting designed specifically for cognitive change.

If you're starting to wonder whether it might be time, you're not alone. We're always happy to talk through our situation and provide guidance, even if you're just in the information gathering stage.

Call us anytime to schedule a confidential conversation or tour.

Every Wednesday we take two of our amazing residents to the Hearts & Horses Therapeutic Riding Center. Both of them love horses and although one of our residents cannot ride anymore, they still help them find ways to be around the animal they love and feel independent. We so appreciate the work that they do and how they care about those they help.
