The Arc of Larimer County's Volunteer Program has officially been relaunched!

We wanted to take this time to thank one of our current volunteers, Amanda Blakely. Amanda has quickly become an asset to our Volunteer Program, always showing up on time with a smile to help with any staff needs or office projects!

In honor of the support she’s provided, we asked Amanda to provide some feedback and wisdom regarding her experience volunteering with us thus far!

Q: To start, tell us about yourself!
A: My name is Amanda Blakely, I am 43 years old and two of my favorite things to do are solving puzzles and listening to audio books. I also really love to go horseback riding because before I moved to Fort Collins, I would often go to Latigo Ranch in Colorado Springs.

Q: What made you want to volunteer with The Arc of Larimer County?
A: I used to work for The Arc of Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs. So, when I moved up to Fort Collins, I wanted to get involved with this county’s Arc chapter.

Q: What has been your favorite part of volunteering with The Arc of Larimer County?
A: I have enjoyed supporting The Arc of Larimer County with their scanning project. I also enjoy coming into the office on Tuesdays and seeing everyone and saying hello.

Q: Words of wisdom – what advice would you give anyone interested in volunteering with The Arc of Larimer County?
A: It’s a fun place to volunteer! So, definitely submit your applications if you are interested.

At The Arc of Larimer County, we appreciate our volunteers for the care, time, and expertise they so generously share. Their continued involvement reflects a deep commitment to our mission and to building a more inclusive and supportive community.

Interested in volunteering with us? Please visit arclc.org to complete the Volunteer Application. We look forward to hearing from you!
