Happy Pelvis

Happy Pelvis Inclusive pelvic therapy using a trauma-informed, whole-person approach—healing starts here. Hi, I’m Jenn Fyhrie and I’m your occupational therapist!

My interest in pelvic health grew from a desire to ensure that all individuals could access their joy and s*xual selves by addressing pelvic pain and bowel/bladder dysfunction. My approach considers the entire person and I strive to bring a collaborative and empathetic approach to this sensitive topic. Your values, your activities of daily life, your uniqueness… this matters to me. Unlike a typica

l doctor’s visit, you’ll have my undivided attention. You will feel heard and care for. Our hour-long visits together are individualized to your specific needs.

If the crazy warm weather we’ve been having here in NoCo has you thinking about how to look better naked, then you’ve probably already been looking up ab workouts.

Sexy abs can help you feel better in a swimsuit, but they also play a huge role in your pelvic health, bladder control, pelvic stability, and core strength. If you notice that your abs push out, dome, “bread loaf “, or are just weak in general, they could be impacting your overall pelvic health.

I want you to look hot AF this summer too, but a functional body is better than a hot body. If you are struggling with things like pelvic pain, heaviness or pressure in the va**na or testicles, symptoms of prolapse, or are in postpartum recovery, your abs might be playing a role. It’s time for something insatiably difficult! 😰

Have you ever tried to do a kegel or harder yet, lengthen your pelvic floor and didn’t feel anything happen? These internal muscles can be so hard to feel or control on command.

Here are some cues I often use with patients:

For a kegel (with an exhale):

1. Close your l***a
2. Feel your testicles pull away from your underwear
3. Pull your pelvic floor up like a claw machine that has a toy

For lengthening (with an inhale):

1. Relax your bu****le! (I can’t tell you how many times a day I say this!)
2. Imagine the pelvic floor is a flower and the petals are opening up
3. Allow the elevator to descend and open the doors

Note: kegels are not for everyone!! Bodies are different and the same symptom between two people can be caused by totally different factor factors (ex: too tight versus too relaxed pelvic floor muscles)

If you are experiencing pain with s*x, urinary or bowel leakage (even if only once in a while), prolapse, or things just don’t feel right, request a discovery call (link in bio).

The va**na is magical 🪄🧙🏼‍♀️🦄

In session together, I will use whatever terms you want me to use: balls, v***a, vag, bu****le, coochie…whatever makes you feel comfortable! But yes, I know the scientific terms too 🤓

What body parts sound like spells to you?

If you are experiencing pain with s*x, urinary or bowel leakage (even if only once in a while), prolapse, or things just don’t feel right, give me a call!

Thank for the hilarious inspiration

Yes, SEVEN holes!

1. Urethra = p*e 🚽
2. A**s = 💩, back door fun
3. Vagina/v***a = menstruation, 👶🏽, main entrance for fun times
4. Skene’s glands x2 = urethral lubrication to protect from bacteria, and the man source of sq**rt 💦💦
5. Bartholin’s glands x2 = va**nal lubrication

The more you know, the more power you have…and the less likely the FBI will judge you when they see your search history.

But seriously, my goal is for folks to feel educated about their bodies so that even when therapy is done, they can make educated decisions about their health.

Bladder and bowel issues are often brushed off as a “normal” part of aging, but they’re not just about age, and they can affect people at any stage of life.

In many cases, the real issue starts in the pelvis. When the pelvic floor muscles, nerves, and connective tissues stop working together as a team, your body loses its ability to properly coordinate when to go.

✨ Understanding why that coordination broke down is the first step toward actually fixing the problem, not just managing the symptoms.

Exercise and movement aren’t one-size-fits-all, especially when it comes to pelvic health. What helps one person feel better could make someone else’s symptoms worse.

That’s why individualized care matters more than generic advice found online. Pelvic floor therapy looks at your body, your symptoms, and your goals to create a movement plan that truly supports healing and long-term function.

✨ When movement is tailored to you, it’s safer, more effective, and far more empowering than guesswork.

Pelvic floor therapy is so much more than exercises.

At The Happy Pelvis, care is personalized. That can include scar tissue mobilization after a hysterectomy or C-section, bladder and fascial mobilization to improve mobility within the abdominal cavity, and guidance through challenges that go beyond physical symptoms.

✨ At Happy Pelvis, I treat the whole person.
