🚨 Quick Thinking Saves a Life! 🚨

Command Sgt. Maj. Brett W. Johnson, 10th Mountain Division senior enlisted leader, stopped by the Guthrie AHC EMS bay Nov. 17, to recognize an exceptional EMS team for their quick actions this past summer.

In July, the paramedic and EMT crew responded to a severe headache call, but quickly identified the signs of a potential stroke in a teenage patient.

The team immediately contacted a MEDEVAC crew from 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division “Dustoff,” who swiftly airlifted the patient to SUNY Upstate.

Thanks to their expertise and rapid response, the patient received life-saving treatment and is now in rehab. Their quick thinking made the difference between a serious prognosis and a positive outcome.

Join us in thanking these incredible professionals!

It was a great opportunity staff to relax, recharge, and enjoy some treats together before the busy holidays ahead. And a special thanks to everyone who donated baked goods and volunteered to help prepare the event!
