Ever wonder what funeral directors really do behind the scenes?

It’s more than just planning a service. It’s late-night phone calls and carefully bringing your loved one into our care. It’s paperwork, permits, and details most families never have to think about. It’s coordinating with churches, cemeteries, florists, honor guards, and insurance companies.

But more than anything, it’s listening and sitting at a table while stories are shared through tears. It’s answering the same question twice because grief makes things foggy. It’s making sure everything is handled with dignity and respect when families need steady hands the most.

You may not see all of it, and that’s okay. Our job is to carry the weight so you don’t have to.

💙 Having a Service Along With Cremation

Choosing cremation doesn’t mean you have to skip a goodbye or a meaningful gathering. In fact, many families find comfort in having a service or remembrance along with the cremation so everyone can come together, share memories, and honor a life well lived. Cremation can happen after a traditional funeral, before a memorial service, or on its own with a remembrance that fits your family’s needs.

Whether you want a service with a viewing, a celebration of life, a memorial later on, or a personalized ceremony somewhere special, we’re here to help you plan it in a way that feels right for you. Even with cremation, that moment of connection and farewell matters—and there are lots of beautiful ways to make it meaningful.

If you have questions or would like help planning a service with cremation, just reach out—we’ll walk with you every step of the way.

We’ve been looking at our reviews lately, and we’re sitting at nearly five stars. That truly humbles us.

But here’s the honest question… does that even matter to families?

At the end of the day, we don’t believe families are choosing us because of a star rating. We believe what really matters is compassion when you walk through the door. A voice that answers when you call. A team that listens. Caring hearts that treat your loved one like they were our own.

If the reviews reflect that, we’re grateful. But what means the most is simply being there for you when it matters most.

Is it okay to laugh at a memorial service?

Absolutely. Laughter and tears often go hand in hand when we’re remembering someone we love. Sharing a funny story or smiling at a favorite memory doesn’t mean you’re being disrespectful—it means that person mattered.

Memorial services are about honoring a life, and sometimes that life was full of joy, humor, and good stories. Laughing together can actually be a big part of healing and remembering them just as they were.
